Sonkeng signs with Sundsvall

LTA Agency have continued a busy January by arranging a new international transfer. The 27-year-old Cameroon defender, Ysis Sonkeng has inked her first deal outside her country with Sundsvalls DFF in Swedish Elitettan where she will join her international compatriot Ajara.

Recent finalist of CAF Women`s AFCON 2016, Sonkeng comes from Louves Minproff de Yaounde where she won Cameroon Women`s Cup in 2016 and 2015. She has also represented her country in other international competitions such as FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada 2015, African Women’s Championship in Namibia 2014 (also runner-up), and Summer Olympics in London 2012.

The 24-year-old Cameroonian international striker Ajara Nchout Njoya has extended her contract with Sundsvalls DFF in Swedish Elitettan.

Ajara had an outstanding year 2016 as she became SDFF’s best goal scorer with 13 goals in 26 matches and was named player of the season. She capped the year by becoming the runner-up of the CAF Women’s AFCON 2016 with Cameroon National Team as she played full 90 min of 4 matches of the tournament including the final.

Following the AFCON, she was individually honored by the sultan of Bamoun in her native town of Foumban during the bi-annual cultural ceremony and was also received by the Cameroonian presidential couple in their palace along with her team mates.

LTA Agency have arranged another international transfer. The 23-year-old English-born midfielder, Lois Roche, has signed with Åland United (Mariehamn) of Finland’s top-flight (Naisten Liiga) where she will join Cameroonian international Raissa Feudjio.

Lois comes from Reading FC in the English Women’s Super League where she won WSL2 in 2015 and has previously played for Arsenal Ladies. She has also played for the Republic of Ireland U17 and U19 National teams in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Lois will join her new teammates in Finland on 12 of January to start the pre-season training.

The 29-year-old Romanian striker, Laura Rus (better known as “Lala”) has joined Cajasol Sporting Club de Huelva of Spanish Primera División after 3 seasons in South Korea.

Lala comes from 2016 WK-League runners-up Icheon Daekyo and brings with her a vast international experience. Prior to Icheon Daekyo, she played with another South Korean outfit, Suwon FMC, with whom she became the best goal scorer of the WK-League in 2015 with 17 goals. Having proved to be a prolific striker over the years, Lala scored over 150 goals in her club career spanning her native Romania, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, and South Korea as well as internationally with Romania National Team, and in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. She was Champions League best goal scorer in the season 2012-2013.

Gaelle, Aboudi, Raissa, Ajara, and Ejangue – finalists of CAF Africa Women Cup of Nations (AFCON)

Five Cameroonian Women’s National team players represented by LTA Agency have reached the final of the women’s AFCON 2016 held in Cameroon from 19 November to 3 December 2016. They have helped the Indomitable Lionesses to qualify for the second successive final of the most important African competition where they narrowly lost to defending champions Nigeria in front of 40,000 spectators at the Ahmadou Ahidjo National Stadium in Yaounde.

The first goal of the competition was scored by Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene in the inaugural match against Egypt. Aboudi was also named best player of the tournament. Raissa Feudjio scored the only goal of the semifinal against Ghana and made the best 11 of the tournament. Gaelle Enganamouit earned the most assists. Augustine Ejangue captained the team in the group match v Zimbabwe, and Ajara Njoya was a constant threat in Cameroonian attack all throughout the competition.

The tournament held in Limbe and the capital Yaounde has proved to be a huge success in Cameroon, and all of the above players represented by LTA have become household names in the country overnight.

Cote D’Ivoire international, Ange Koko N’Guessan has signed a deal with Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona.

The 25-year old winger comes from the top division in Cyprus, where she earned 2015-2016 bronze medal and finished as best goalscorer at Anorthosis Famagusta.

Prior to Cyprus, Ange Koko played for perennial Lithuanian champions FK Gintra-Universitetas helping them win the 2015 League title and take part in 2015-2016 UEFA Women’s Champions League preliminary round. In the same year, Ange Koko represented her country in the historic first appearance at the group stage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup final tournament in Canada scoring two goals in the process.  While playing for her national team, she also won the bronze medal at the African Games held in Congo in 2015 and another bronze at the 2014 CAF Africa Women’s Championship in Namibia.

Ange Koko won the Cote D’Ivoire national championship in 2011/12 and 2013/14 and was also the nation’s cup winner in 2011 with her first club Omness de Dabou.

LTA Agency have arranged Kenya’s women’s national team (Harambee Starlets) participation in the XXXIII COTIF International Tournament in l’Alcudia, Valencia, Spain.

It was the 5th time COTIF organized the women’s tournament held along with one of the most prestigious men’s Under-20 tournaments in the world earlier this month. It was Kenya’s women’s national team first ever tournament in Europe, and it served as part of the preparation for the 10th CAF Africa Women Cup of Nations, which will take place in Cameroon from 19th November to 3rd December this year.

Harambee Starlets have qualified for the continental final tournament for the first time in their history eliminating Algeria in the play-offs. They fared quite well in Spain and finished 4th after winning two matches against the champions of Portugal, Benfica and Spanish side Espanyol de Barcelona. Head of women’s football at Football Kenya Federation, Doreen Nabwire, was satisfied with Starlets’ showing in Valencia.

Last year, LTA Agency arranged participation of Namibia Women’s National Team in the same tournament, COTIF 2015.

The 27-year-old Cameroon international forward, Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene, has signed a new contract with Russian powerhouse FC Rossiyanka. 

Aboudi has amassed over 50 caps for Cameroon Women’s National Team and represented her country at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada helping the Indomitable Lionesses past the group stage in a historic first World Cup final appearance. She was consequently nominated for CAF Best African Woman Player of the Year 2015 Award. She has also featured at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, scoring Cameroon’s only goal in the tournament.

Aboudi is a key player for Rossiyanka and recently helped the current Russian Premier League leaders to qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2016-2017. The new deal will keep her at the club through 2018 season.

21-year-old goalkeeper Andreea Părăluță from Romania has inked her first deal outside her country.

Despite her young age, Andreea has long established herself as the starting goalkeeper for the Romanian National team and was named Best Romanian Female Footballer in 2015.

She recently won the 2015-2016 Cupa României after her club ASA Târgu-Mureș defeated Olimpia Cluj 2:1 in the final. This was her first trophy with Târgu-Mureș following 5 other Cup Final appearances as well as 5 National League runner-up finishes in the last 5 years.

I am very happy and excited to be able to prove myself at one of the best teams in Spain. This is a great opportunity to play at a higher level. I will give my best to help the team, she declared in a statement.

Spanish international Veronica Boquete has signed a two-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder and National Team captain was recently crowned the 2015-2016 German Bundesliga champion with FC Bayern Munich. Prior to that, Vero won the UEFA Women’s Champion’s League in 2015 while at FFC Frankfurt and played in 2014 UEFA WCL final with Tyresö FF. Vero has also won trophies in Sweden, Spain, and the USA, was named to the short-list of the FIFA Ballon d’Or among the 10 best players in the world, and was named by UEFA among 5 best players in Europe for three years running.

Vero has so far scored 34 goals in 54 appearances for Spain and led her country to the historic first FIFA Women’s World Cup participation in Canada in 2015, as well as the successful UEFA Women’s Euro campaign ending at the quarterfinals stage in Sweden in 2013.
