Asantewaa scores first EDF goals

Grace Asantewaa scored her first official goals for EDF Logroño in a 3-0 win against Athletic Club

Ghana international Asantewaa joined the Spanish Liga Iberdrola club EDF Logroño last season. The creative midfielder kicked off her goal-scoring tally for the side with a brace yesterday.

Asantewaa’s first goal came just in the opening three minutes with the help of the club’s captain Jade Boho who made the assist. Five minutes later their teammate doubled the hosts’ lead. At the 40th minute Grace made it 3 goals to nil to seal the Rioja’s team famous 3-0 victory over Basque powerhouse Athletic Club of Bilbao.

This last game of the eventful 2020 for Logroño, happily concluded with a win at home, featured two other LTA Agency-represented talents: the Ivorian forward Elloh Rebecca and defender Nothando Vilakazi from South Africa. The victory was dedicated to the Spanish striker Olga Garcia who recently sustained a serious injury.

LTA Agency congratulate Grace Asantewaa on this achievement and wish her a lot more goals for club and country.
