Vero renews with LTA

LTA Agency are delighted to announce signing a new representation agreement with Spain international midfielder and FIFA legend, Verónica Boquete (Vero).

Vero, 32, currently plays for Utah Royals FC in the USA National Women’s Soccer League whom she joined at the beginning of the season from a stint in Chinese Super League with Beijing BG Phoenix.

The veteran maestro captained her county in their first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup appearance in 2015 in Canada, in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 in Sweden, and in multiple other competitions. Vero is the only Spanish female footballer to date who has won a UEFA Women’s Champions League with 1.FFC Frankfurt in 2014/15. She also featured in two other Champions League finals, scoring in one of them.

Vero lifted domestic trophies in four different countries. She also received many individual prizes in her remarkable professional career that has taken her to seven countries on three different continents: Spain, the USA, Russia, Sweden, Germany, France, and China. She was part of such powerhouse clubs as Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern München among others.

A pioneer in the fight for the rights and better conditions for women footballers across the globe, Vero has also been recognized in her home town of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia by having the main local stadium named in her honor – Estadio Municipal Vero Boquete de San Lázaro.

UWCL Round of 32

12 players represented by LTA Agency are involved in the round of 32 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League that starts today.

Goalkeeper:
Hedvig Lindahl (Wolfsburg) – Wolfsburg’s Swedish star joined the Bundesliga club this season. She has a lot of experience in the UEFA Women’s Champions League matches. She reached the semifinals with Chelsea in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.

Defenders:
Emma Berglund (Göteborg) – 30-year-old Swedish international defender is used to high level competitions. She took part to the last four successive seasons of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Irene Paredes (PSG) – Spain defender reached the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in the 2016/17 season; last season she reached the quarterfinals with PSG.

Linda Sembrant (Juventus) – Swedish defender played in the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in the 2013/14 season. In her last appearance in the 2017/18 season with MHSC, she reached the quarterfinals.

Midfielders:
Katrine Veje (Arsenal) – experienced left winger made her last appearance in 2017/18 season with MHSC with whom she reached the quarterfinals.

Sofie Junge (Juventus) – 27-year-old Danish international made her last appearance in the 2016/17 season with FC Rosengard. She played for five consecutive seasons prior to that.

Stefania Vatafu (Anderlecht) – Romanian international midfielder will play her second UEFA Women’s Champions League with Anderlecht. It is her 9th successive UWCL appearance.

Virginia Torrecilla (Atletico Madrid) – Spain stalwart reached the round of 16 in her last participation in 2017/18 with MHSC. She was also involved with FC Barcelona for three seasons.

Alex Chidiac (Atletico Madrid) – young Australian midfielder could have her debut in the UEFA Women’s Champions League this season. Last season her club reached the round of 16.

Forwards:
Signe Bruun (PSG) – young centre forward already has more than ten appearances in the UEFA Women’s Champions League featuring in all of the past four seasons.

Laura Rus (Anderlecht) – Romanian in-form forward scored two goals in the qualifying round to help Anderlecht to reach this step of the tournament. She is the former UEFA Women’s Champions League top goalscorer and has scored impressive 26 goals in 26 matches played in the competition so far.

Caroline Møller (Fortuna Hjørring) – Talented 20-year-old striker is playing in her fourth UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign with Fortuna.

Banyana Banyana stalwart Refiloe Jane has made history as she has become the first South African player to move to an Italian club. She has joined a Serie A powerhouse AC Milan.

The 27-year-old South Africa international midfielder Refiloe arrived in Milano from Canberra United where she scored two goals and provided an assist in 10 appearances for the club last season (all starts). Prior to Australian W-League, she played in her home country for such clubs as Colchester United LFC, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Vaal University of Technology.

The veteran of 116 caps and 12 goals for Banyana Banyana, Refiloe is South Africa’s key player and has captained her country on a number of occasions. She has represented South Africa in the Olympic Games in Rio as well as at their first-ever appearance in a FIFA Women’s World Cup in France last summer.

Refiloe will be the third player represented by LTA Agency at AC Milan after the Italians Deborah Salvatori Rinaldi and Alessia Piazza. She will wear the number 15 jersey for the 2019/2020 season which is scheduled to get underway on Saturday, 14 September.

Italian Striker Deborah Salvatori Rinaldi and Norwegian Defender Stine Hovland have joined Milan AC of Italian Serie A.

Deborah, 27, is an international Italian striker who played in Spain for Espanyol (2017/18) the following season, she played for Florentia SG in Italy where she has just left for Milan AC. Deborah has much experience of Serie A as she has spent most of her career in Italy. Last season, she was among the top 10 best scorers of the League with 11 goals netted in 21 games played with Florentia SG outfit. She helped Fiorentina for the league and cup in the 2016/17 season. At Milan AC She will wear number 22.

Stine Hovland, 28, just come back from France with the national team with that she took part at the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup. she earned her first cap for the senior Norway women’s national team, in a friendly against Japan in November 2018. She has already amassed seven caps and has won Algarve cup 2019. The former Sandviken defender has inked her first professional contract with Milan AC. She spent six seasons with Sandviken where she has captained the team.
She will be the owner of the number four of Milan AC’squad.

Milan AC was established in 2018 and the team started playing in the 2018–19 season and ended third of Serie.

Australia international midfielder Aivi Luik has marked her return in Norway’s top league (Toppserien) by playing for Avaldsnes as they face Arna-Bjørnar yesterday afternoon.

Aivi played 90 minutes for Avaldsnes in a 2-1 win against Arna-Bjørnar. They are currently 10th in the Toppserien after ten matches played and they will host Klepp next for the Norway cup match.

Aivi,34, has just joined Advaldsnes from Levante UD in Spain where she spent a season (2018/19 ). She played 26 Liga Iberdrola’s matches with Levante outfit.

Before Levante, she spent short stints in Sweden with IF Kalmar and in Australia with Melbourne City.

Valerenga has been the first’s Novegian club where she played in 2017

The experienced midfielder was a part of the Westfield Matildas squad at the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Young Ghanaian midfielder Grace Asantewaa has signed her first professional contract in Spain with EDF Logroño.

The 18-year-old midfielder has joined a Spanish’s top-flight club EDF Logroño as her first experience abroad. The dynamic workaholic midfielder moves to Spanish outfit from Apem Darkoa Ladies club in Ghana with whom she won the league and cup double in 2015-16 and 2016-2017 season. Prior to that, Grace played with Hassacas Ladies another domestic club. She has been the league’s best player for 2015-2016 and 2018-2019 seasons.

The impress teenager has already international experiences with her country’s national team that she has represented several times for big competitions, Grace has already earned 6 caps and 2 goals scored with the seniors and also participated in low categories with the under 16,17 and 18. She was nominated for Best Female Footballer of the year of the Ghana Awards this year.

The 24-year-old Romanian international defender, Adina Giurgiu has signed a contract extension with Sassuolo Calcio of the Italian Serie A.

Adina joined Sassuolo in January 2018 as her first experience abroad. Prior to that, she played in Romanian top club Olimpia Cluj with whom she won many league and cup trophies. The multiple champion has also played in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and is Romanian Women’s National team member.

The 36-year-old Sweden international goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl has sealed a one-year deal with VfL Wolfsburg.

The former Chelsea shot-stopper who helped Sweden to World Cup bronze medal has joined German champion VfL Wolfsburg.

Hedvig moves to VfL Wolfsburg from England side Chelsea FC where she spent four-and-a-half successful years. After joining Chelsea in December 2014 she has cemented her place as the club’s first-choice stopper. Having made 77 appearances for the Blues in total, Hedvig won the FA Women’s Super League and the Women’s FA Cup in 2015 and 2018, plus the 2017 Spring Series. She also earned a spot in the 2016 WSL1 Team of the Year and was nominated for PFA Women’s Player of the Year.

A veteran of 165 international caps, the experienced goalkeeper has represented her country in numerous top level competitions: five FIFA World Cups, three Olympic Games and multiple European Championships.

The young midfielder Grace Asantewaa is nominated for Best Female Footballer of the year in Ghana Football Awards.

Grace Asantewaa is nominee for the 2019 Ghana Football Awards in the category of Best Female Footballer of the year. The Ghana Football Awards will take place on the 21st of July 2019 at the Accra Marriott hotel.

The 18-year-old midfielder plays for Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC in her country. She represented Ghana with the senior National Team in the last edition of the African Women Cup of Nations hosted in her country in November 2018.

The new World Cup Bronze medalist, Linda Sembrant has signed a contract with Italy’s champion Juventus where she will join Danish international midfielder Sofie Junge also represented by LTA Agency.

The 32-years-old Swedish center-back comes from Montpellier FC in Division 1 Feminine whom she joined in 2014. It will be the third county in her career after the Damallsvenskan where she played with AIK, Gothenburg, and Tyresö in her country.

During her period in France, Linda scored nine goals in 100 leagues games played for Montpellier club for whom she has been the captain. She has been runner-up of the 2013/14 UEFA Women’s Champions League and the 2016/17 Division 1 Feminine. She also reached the Cup Final in France two times in 2015/16 and 2014/15 season.

Linda reached 117 caps for Sweden after playing the recent World Cup where Sweden finished in third position. She also won two championship medals previously, the World Cup Bronze Medal 2011 and Olympic Silver Medal 2016.
