Our young star from Ghana, Grace Asantewaa, has established a non-profit organization instituted with the aim of providing an environment for young talented girls to play football, pursue education, and participate in humanitarian activities.

Founded in October 2020, the Foundation principally targets potential female football stars in the remote parts of Ghana who have not received enough help while playing football alongside education.

The founder, Grace Asantewaa, 20, is a young woman who has developed a deep interest in playing football from a very young age. She started by playing with young boys in her neighborhood before joining the Ghanaian club Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the Ghana Premier League with whom she won two League and Cup titles in 2015 and 2016.

Now, Grace Asantewaa is an integral part of the Ghana senior national team, the Black Queens.  She also forms part of a Spanish Primera Iberdrola side, EDF Logroño.

Aside from helping young girls with an interest in football, the founder believes in giving back to society. This is the motivation for her humanitarian venture. The initiative will allow her to make regular visits and donate essential items to hospitals and orphanages, with particular attention to children and mothers in maternity wards.

This gesture fits into the vision to impact positively on the lives of young, deprived but talented girls who have the passion to play football at the highest.
