Brillant Barbra Banda sealed historic Zambian victory at 2022 COSAFA Women’s Championship and grabbed two awards

Zambia have claimed the first ever historic Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Women’s Championship Cup title after a 1-0 victory over South Africa in a thrilling final at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Gqeberha on Sunday.

The Copper Queens claimed their win in extra-time as the lethal Barbra broke the deadlock with a glancing header to stun the hosts, South Africa 1-0. This was Zambia’s captain 10th goal of the competition. She has scored in each of Zambia’s games at the tournament. Banda walked away with both the Player of the Tournament and top scorer awards, in addition of being champion.

This is the first time that Zambia has won the tournament since it was established in 2002

Belem est une jeune joueuse prometteuse qui était l’une des plus jeunes participantes de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations Féminine de 2022. La jeune défenseure centrale qui vient juste d’avoir 18 ans compte déjà neuf sélections et un but avec l’Equipe Nationale du Burkina Faso. Belem a également représenté les moins de 20 ans avec lesquels elle a été finaliste du championnat UNAF (Union nord-africaine de football) au Maroc en 2019 et joué les éliminatoires de la coupes du monde Costa Rica U20 en 2019.

La talentueuse joueuse a débuté le football dans son pays natal. Belem joue avec L’AS les Oisillons avec laquelle elle a terminé vice-championne de la coupe du Burkina Faso 2022.

Barbra Banda and Zambia are throught to the COSAFA Women’s Championship 2022 final

Unbeaten Copper Queens have Advanced to COSAFA Womens Cup Final after beating defending champions Tanzania 2-1 at Nelson Mandela Bay.

It took Zambia just 12 minutes to get on the score sheet when captain Barbara Banda pierced through Tanzania’s defence to slide the ball into the net.

It was Banda’s 9th goal of the tournament and is firmly sailing to take home the golden boot. She has scored in each of Zambia’s four matches at the tournament so far.

After competing in their first-ever COSAFA Women’s Cup final in 2019, Zambia head into their second-ever COSAFA Women’s Cup final seeking their debut title.

The final will pit the 2022 Women’s AFCON Bronze Medalists against the gold medal winners, South Africa (host) in the September 11, at 15h00 at the Wolfson Stadium.

Mahira Ali and Wadi Degla FC have reached the finals of the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League

Egypt’s Wadi Degla FC have secured a place in the finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League 2022. Their second consecutive appearance in the second edition of the prestigious continental tournament final.

Mahira played in both qualification games to help her new team book a spot in the final tournament. The midfielder played 90 minutes in the 2-0 wins over AS Banque de l’habitat (Tunisia) and Afack Relizane (Algeria) respectively, providing two assists, one in each game.

Three teams were competing for the northern zone qualifiers. Wadi Degla of Egypt clinched the title of the UNAF (Union of North African Football) region on Saturday, August 20 after beating AS Banque de l’habitat (Tunisia) 2-0. They finished in top of the UNAF zone.

The 2022 final will be played in Morocco in October and November and will be hosted by Moroccan champions AS FAR (Association’s Sports of Forces Armed Royal).

Laura Rus and Nadejda Colesnicenco have joined Cosmina Dușa and Rafaela Lopes at Lokomotiv Stara Zagora.

Rafaela and Cosmina who have joined the team last season made history as they helped Lokomotiv Stara Zagora to win their first-ever Bulgarian championship title at the end of the 2021/22 season, and to advance to the Cup final. The team start the UEFA Women’s Champions League today against Dinamo-BGU.

Romanian international forward, Laura Rus comes from Italy Serie C club ASD Apulia Trani that she helped for promotion in Serie B. She is a skilled player with a hight experience who has already played in Iceland, Belgium, Italy, South Korea, Denmark, Cyprus and as well Romania. She is a veteran of Romania Women’s National Team.

Nadejda Colesnicenco is a Moldovan midfielder who has already appeared for the Moldova senior team.

La défenseure internationale camerounaise avait rallié le FC Kryvbas la saison dernière depuis l’Amazone Fap. Après une saison passée avec le club qu’elle a aidé pour la troisième place du classement au championnat ukrainien, Le FC Kryvbas et la joueuse ont conclu un accord pour le renouvellement.

Sa carrière professionnelle l’a déjà emmené à jouer en Israël avec le FC Bnot Netanya , en Suède avec Sundsvalls DFF (deuxième division) et au Nigeria avec Bayelsa Queens FC.

Ysis a disputé deux Coupes du monde avec les Lionnes indomptables (2019 et 2015), deux Coupes d’Afrique des nations 2016 et 2018, trois championnats d’Afrique de football féminin et aux Jeux olympiques d’été de 2012.

L’internationale Malienne Bassira Touré a signé à DUX Logroño pour une saison

Bassira s’envole vers une nouvelle destination. L’internationale des Aigles Dame du Mali est désormais une joueuse de DUX Logroño, un club de deuxième division en Espagne. Elle sera liée au club jusqu’en juin 2023 et portera le dossard 18.

Après une belle saison dans le championnat de football féminin de Turquie avec le Fatih Karagümrük ou elle a terminé vice-championne la saison dernière, la jeune attaquante poursuit sa carrière du côté de l’Espagne où elle avait fait ses premiers pas professionnels avec Málaga FC en 2019.

l’Ancienne Attaquante de l’AS Mandé (Mali), elle a joué en Israël pour le Kiryat Gat avec qui elle a été vice-championne d’Israël 2019/20, ALG Spor premier club dans lequel elle a joue en Turquie.

Championne et vainqueur de la coupe du Mali en 2016, meilleure joueuse et meilleure buteuse de la saison 2015/16. L’internationale malienne comptabilise déjà deux participations consécutives à la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations 2018 et 2016, elle a été nominée joueuse de l’année CAF 2018.

Egyptian international midfielder Mahira Ali has joined Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League

Mahira’s transfer was arranged through ZHub Sports, the official representative of LTA Agency in the Middle East .

The 25-year-old international will join Wadi Degla, where she will hope to make her debut in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers this month. The club was the Champion for both league and Cup in the 2021 /2022 season.

Mahira joins from El Gouna, where she helped the team finish second in the Premier League. Prior to El Gouna, she played with Aimz Egypt and was named the 2019/20 Best Player in the Egyptian Premier League.

She had a successful stint in Canada during the 2018/19 season with the Oakville Blue Devils in Ontario’s League 1, where she won the 2019 championship and was awarded Oakville Blue Devils MVP in 2018. 

The talented playmaker counts more than 35 international matches with the Egyptian women’s National Team. She has also competed in low categories such as under 16, 17, and 18.

Flavine est la toute première joueuse de la RD Congo à signer un contrat avec notre agence, la jeune congolaise vient ainsi élargir la longue liste des talentueuses joueuses africaines représentées par LTA Agency à travers le monde.

Flavine joue actuellement en première division turque avec Bitexen Adana Idmanyurduspor. L’ex-joueuse de Simba Queens FC de la Tanzanie, elle a commencé le football dans son pays ou elle a joué avec des clubs comme CF Amani, FC ASR, Solidarité, Mondo et AC Colombe de Brazzaville.

Vainqueur du championnat de Tanzanie avec Simba Queens lors de la saison 2020-2021, elle a aussi fait partir du onze-type de la même saison. Flavine a aussi remporté les titres de championne du Congo Brazzaville en 2018 et celui de la RD Congo en 2016.

Ancienne internationale congolaise des moins de 20 ans, la jeune attaquante compte cinq apparitions et trois buts inscrits avec la sélection de la RD Congo avec laquelle elle a joué les éliminatoires des J.O de Tokyo 2020.

Josee Nahi won the Korea Confederation Cup with Gyeongu KHNP, while Tereza Engesha was runner up

Ivory coast striker Josee won her first trophy of the season in Korea as her side defeated Incheon Hyunday Steel to lift the cup trophy.

Gyeongu KHNP of Josee beat Incheon Hyunday Steel of Tereza 3-1 in extra time after a 1-1 draw in the Korean Confederation Cup final on Sunday, August 7.

Tereza Engesha, a Kenya striker who plays for Incheon Hyunday Steel, is congratulated for having reached the final.

Both teams are on top of the WK-league table, with Hyunday Steel in the first spot and Gyeongu KHNP in the second.
