Spain and former Dux Logrono striker, Olga Garcia, has announced her retirement
Former FC Barcelona, Levante UD, Atlético Madrid, and Dux Logroño striker Olga Garcia has announced her retirement from football at the age of 31.
Olga spent the last four seasons of her career with Dux Logroño, joining from Atlético Madrid.
Olga who has been at Dux Logroño since 2020, started her career at Barcelona where she became one of the club’s most prolific goalscorers with 53 goals in 87 matches (2010–2013 seasons). Then, she spent two seasons on loan with Levante before going back to Barcelona where she left for Atlético Madrid in 2018.
She has trained in the lower categories of FC Barcelona, which she joined in the 2004–2005 campaign, until reaching the first team in the 2010–2011 season. She also went through La Penya Blac i Brava La Roca (2001-2002) and FC Mataró (2002-2004).
She spent all her football career in Spain, where she won two league cups, four Copa de la Reina, and five Copa Catalunya with FC Barcelona.
With the Spain national team, Olga played 32 matches from 2015 to 2019, winning the 2017 Algarve Cup and the 2018 Cyprus Cup. She also played for the under-17s and under-19s.
