Clara Luvanga signs with DUX Logroño

Tanzania striker Clara Luvanga has signed her first professional contract in Spain with DUX Logroño

Luvanga, 18, is a promising striker who joins the Spanish second division from Tanzanian Women’s Premier League side Yanga Princess.

The 2022 Tanzanian best female football player has joined DUX Logroño as her first experience abroad. She is the first Tanzanian player to play professional in Spain.

The talented Tanzania national team player was awarded the Best Young Player of the 2021/22 Women’s Premier League Season and was nominated for the award of Best Young Player of CAF 2022.

Luvanda is a young footballer with a lot of technical skills. She has a good overview of the game and has a good pass in the legs.

L’internationale Ivoirienne Kpaho Zote Nina a prolongé son contrat avec le club Turc de première  division Fenerbahçe SK

La défenseuse ivoirienne, vice-championne de Turquie la saison  dernière avec Fenerbahçe, Kpaho a décidé de continuer avec son club qu’elle a rejoint en 2021.

Depuis son arrivée dans le club, elle a joué un rôle clé dans le succès de l’ équipe, étant une joueuse constante de la défense de Fenerbahçe. Kpaho a aidé à atteindre la finale du championnat de Turquie 2022/23 avec 4 buts marqués et 18 matchs joués. Le club a atteint la demi-finale saison 2021-2022. 

Spain centre-back Irene Paredes has won the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

Spain lifted the final of the 2023 Women’s World Cup. They reached the pinnacle in Sydney on Sunday August 20 as they defeated England 1-0 to win the Women’s World Cup for the first time.

The Barcelona defender was remarkable with brilliant performances. She was impressive in central defence to help Spain reach the final. She played  every minute of Spain’s Australia & New Zealand 2023 campaign.

It was an historic and special year for Paredes who, in addition to the World Cup, also won the UEFA Champions League and the Spain championship with FC Barcelona. The is first of our players to ever achieve such a feat.

Spain will face England in the 2023 final of the World Cup on Sunday, August 20.

Spain have reached the Women’s World Cup final for the first time after beating Sweden 2-1 in a dramatic semi-final in front of more than 43,000 spectators at Auckland’s Eden Park.

Since the debut of the tournament, Irene Paredes has played every minute of all six of Spain’s games, and they have lost only one. It’s Irene and Spain’s first time reaching the final since their first participation in the 2015 World Cup in Canada. A historic final for Irene, Spain, and LTA Agency.

It is only the second time Spain has reached a final after their first-ever major tournament appearance at Euro 1997.

She is the first player represented by us who will play in the Women’s World Cup final.

Sporting Huelva goalkeeper, Chelsea Ashurst, has sealed her continuity for another season with the club

Chelsea has extended her contract with the Liga F club for one more season. The goalkeeper appeared in 16 league games last season.

During the two previous seasons with Sporting Huelva,2021/2022 and 2020-2021, she played the most Primera División Femenina games with the club, featuring in 23 league games for each season across their 34 fixtures. She has been selected in the starting XI in all 23 of these appearances.

She reached the Spain Cup final in 2020–22 and ensured Sporting Huelva stay in the top division since her arrival in 2019.

Both veteran players have reached this tournament stage for the first time with their countries.

Spain was the first country to qualify for the semi-final after their 2-1 victory over the Netherlands, the runner-up of the 2019 World Cup.
Irene’s country will play their first ever semi-final tomorrow against Sweden in Auckland for a spot in the final. It was also Irene’s first time to reach the quarterfinals after her debut in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada in 2015.

Aivi, with Australia, will face England for their first historic semi-final encounter on Wdnesday in Sydney. The co-host booked their place in the semi-final after their win over France in a dramatic penalty shootout in the quarterfinal.

Spain and Irene Paredes have made history as they have reached the World Cup semi-finals for the first time

Spain sent the finalists of the last edition of the Women World Cup 2019 out of the competition. They reached their first Women’s World Cup semi-final after beating the Netherlands 2-1 after extra time in Wellington.

Irene played the full match to help her nation get to a semi-final of a World Cup for the first time in just three participations, with Irene taking part in each of those.

Since its debut in Canada 2015, Spain team had never won a knock-out match at a World Cup before defeating Switzerland in the round of 16 to set up the meeting with the Netherlands.

Spain and Irene will play the 2023 Women World Cup semi-final first match on Tuesday, August 15th, against Sweden.

Maya joins Como

Malta international young goalkeeper Maya Cachia has penned a contract with Serie A side FC Como

The 18-year-old goalkeeper Maya left Venezia FC to join FC Como, a top-tier side in Italian football. 

She spent her two first seasons in Italy with Venezia FC and Crotone FC in Serie C.

She won the Italian Serie C Cup last season with Venezia FC.

Maya has one cap with Malta national team earned last February during VisitMalta Women’s Tournament where she played against Moldova in a 3-1 victory . She is also capped Under-17 and Under-19.

She will wear jersey number 30 with Como for the 2022–23 campaign.

Sweden international forward Marija Banusic has signed a contract with Italian Serie A club Napoli Femminile

Banusic’s Italian adventure continues with Napoli after a season spent with Parma.

Banusic has decided to continue honing her football abilities in Italy by signing with newly promoted in Serie A Napoli. She joined Serie A in the 2020–2021 season with AS Roma and accumulated experience by playing with Pomigliano and Parma. She brings to her new club a lot of sports experience, as she has also played in France, Sweden, and England.

The Swedish forward spent last season with Parma, and she registered four goals and one assist in 13 appearances.

LTA Players are through to the Round of 16 at the 2023 Women’s World Cup with Spain, South Africa, Australia, and Denmark

Spain’s Irene Paredes featured in all three group-stage games and was spectacular as Spain beat Zambia 5-0. They also won 3-0 against Costa Rica to finish second in Group C and advance to the Round of 16 at the Women’s World Cup. Spain will face Switzerland on Saturday, August 5.

Refiloe Jane made history with South Africa as they qualified for the Round of 16 in a FIFA tournament for the first time. The African side finished second in Group G with a 2-2 Draw Against Argentina and a win against Italy. Jane featured in the two first games. Banyana Banyana will play Netherlans on Sunday, August 6.

Co-host Australia finished first in Group B after winning two of their three group-stage matches. They won 1-0 against Ireland in their opener, and they trashed Olympic Champions Canada with a 4-0 victory. The Matildas and Aivi Luik will face Denmark on Monday, August 7.

Sofie Junge’s Denmark reached the tournament’s next stage after two victories out of three matches, 1-0 against China and 2-0 against Haiti, to be ranked second in Group D.
