Banda Makes Final Shortlist for 2023 CAF Women’s Awards

Barbra Banda, the Copper Queens captain, has been listed as one of the final three nominees for the 2023 CAF Women's Player of the Year award.
According to the top three nominees on the CAF list released on Friday, the 23-year-old Shanghai Shengli forward will slug out with Oshoala, the current holder, and Thembi Kgatlana. She is the youngest of the three in her category and the only Zambian present in this edition CAF Award’s final.
Banda is the only player represented by LTA Agency still competing for this prestigious individual prize, Ajara Nchout Njoya and Refiloe Jane had also made the first list of 30 players revealed by CAF.
The 2023 CAF Awards will be held on Monday, 11 December 2023, in Morocco, Marrakech (18:00 GMT).
