Ejangue signs with Santa Teresa

Cameroon Women’s National Team’s vice-captain, Augustine Ejangue has joined Santa Teresa Badajoz CD of Spanish Liga Iberdrola Primera Division.

The 28-year-old international defender comes from one of the top teams in Danish league, Fortuna Hjørring where she won the domestic double, Elitedivisionen and Women’s Cup, and reached UEFA Women’s Champions League round of 16 in 2015/16 season. She was also part of the Russian Rossiyanka side to reach the Champions League quarterfinals in 2012/13 season. Before joining Fortuna, she also had a spell with Amazon Grimstad in Norway’s Toppserien.

Ejangue has earned impressive 60 caps for Cameroon Women’s National Team so far and has represented the Indomitable Lionesses in various international competitions such as 2016 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (runner-up), FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada 2015 (round of 16), CAF African Women’s Championship in Namibia 2014 (also runner-up), and Summer Olympics in London 2012 (group stage).

Swedish international midfielder Caroline Seger won three titles in just one season with Olympique Lyonnais.

Following the eleventh consecutive French League title and the French Cup that Lyon won a few days later, it’s the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) trophy that the club raised as their third top prize for the 2016/17 season.

The historic first all-French final opposed Seger’s Lyon and Vero’s and Irene’s Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), all three of them represented by LTA. After 120 minutes scoreless draw in Cardiff in front of a 22,000-strong crowd, Lyon prevailed on penalties to retain the trophy and to equal Frankfurt’s overall record of four Champions League titles.

It is Seger’s first UWCL’s trophy. Prior to joining Lyon, she had been UWCL runner-up twice with Swedish Tyresö in 2014 and with PSG two years ago.

Atlético concluded the 2016/17 Primera Division campaign last Saturday with a 2-1 home win over Real Sociedad to win the Spanish League for the first time in their history. The team went the entire season undefeated registering 24 wins and 6 draws and dethroning last season’s winners Athletic Club de Bilbao in the process.

Andreea joined Atlético at the beginning of the season for her first international adventure from ASA Târgu-Mureș where she won the 2015/16 Cupa României.

A 22-year-old Spanish international midfielder, Virginia Torrecilla, has extended her contract with Montpellier Hérault Sport Club (MHSC).

Virginia joins her teammate Linda Sembrant, both of them represented by LTA, in prolonging her stay in Montpellier. The young midfielder has become a constant feature for the French team ever since she has arrived in France at the beginning of the 2015/16 season. In two seasons, she has played almost 50 games and scored 3 goals for her club with the current season being the most successful as it has brought MHSC second place in the League and automatic qualification for the 2017/18 UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Prior to MHSC, Virginia played for FC Barcelona where she won three League and two Cup titles.

The recent Algarve Cup winner with Spain, Virginia has already 30 caps and 4 goals for the National team, and she is on course to represent her country in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 in the Netherlands this summer.

The 32-year-old Swedish international midfielder won the 2016/17 Division 1 Feminine with Olympique Lyonnais.

Olympique Lyonnais defended their League title following a 9-0 home victory against Soyaux last week at the Groupama OL training center in Decines in front of about 1500 spectators. Seger’s team secured a remarkable 11th consecutive title in the women’s D1 two match days before the end of the League season after dominating the competition during the whole season.

Seger joined Lyon at the beginning of the season and featured in most League games as she played in 17 out of 21 matches so far including yesterday’s impressive 3:0 win over her former club – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). She was 2-times Division 1 runner-up with PSG in 2015/16 and 2014/15.

Prior to Lyon, Seger won WPS Championship title in 2011 with New York Flash (USA), and she also won three League titles in her native Sweden with Linköpings FC, LdB FC Malmö, and Tyresö FF.

LTA Agency are pleased to announce signing a representation agreement with Danish international midfielder Katrine Veje.

The new recruit who comes to enlarge the list of players represented by LTA is a young player with a lot of experience. Katrine (25) currently plays for Danish perennial power Brøndby IF with whom she won two Danish Cup titles, the League (Elitedivisionen) title in 2014/15 and reached UEFA Women’s Champions League semifinal in the same season. She won two Swedish championships and a Super Cup title with LdB FC Malmö before the club changed its name to FC Rosengård. She reached UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinals on two occasions while in Malmö.
Katrine also had a spell in the USA professional League (NWSL) playing in the 2015 final for Seattle Reign FC.

As a mainstay of Denmark Women’s National Team, she has already earned 94 caps for her country and scored 7 goals. The powerful left-footed winger joins 2 Denmark international compatriots, Line Røddik Hansen and Sofie Junge Pedersen who are also represented by LTA.

Australian international midfielder Aivi Luik has joined Norway’s top division (Toppserien) side Vålerenga IF.

The 32-year-old midfielder comes from Melbourne City FC in Australian W-League. As a defensive midfielder, Aivi has been an integral part of Melbourne City’s championship winning team helping both their exciting forward line and their solid defensive wall. She featured in every Melbourne City league match this season scoring one goal, winning her third title in her fourth grand W-League final appearance.

Vicky Losada, Line Røddik Hansen and Ange Koko N’Guessan of FC Barcelona, Caroline Seger of Olympic Lyonnais, and Vero Boquete and Irene Paredes of Paris-Saint-Germain have all advanced to the semi-finals of the 2016/17 UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The semi-finals will be held on 22nd of April in Manchester and Barcelona for the first leg and on the 29th in France for the return leg as PSG will play against FC Barcelona while Olympique Lyonnais will face Manchester City to determine the finalists.

Line played 90 minutes of the two quarterfinal matches against FC Rosengård. Vicky started the first leg away as Barcelona won 1-0 and played 90 minutes and made one assist in the return leg at home as Barça won 2-0 to knock their opponents out of the competition to become the first Spanish team in history to have qualified to UWCL semi-finals.

Wolfsburg failed to dethrone Lyon in the quarterfinal matches. Seger started in the first leg and subbed in the return as the defending Champions Lyon overcame Wolfsburg 2-0 on aggregate to progress in the competition.

PSG will be returning to the semi-finals of the UWCL just like last season. Irene and Vero helped their team overturn a 1–0 first leg defeat to FC Bayern Munich to reach the semi-finals for the third time in club’s history. Irene played 90 minutes of the two games, while Vero started both legs and made a key assist in the second leg at Parc des Princes as PSG trounced Bayern 4-0.

LTA Agency is assured to have at least two representatives in the final in Cardiff on the first of June 2017 as either PSG or Barcelona are bound to be there.

Swedish international goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl has signed an 18- month contract extension with English power house Chelsea Ladies FC.

Hedvig (34) joined the Blues from Swedish side Kristianstads DFF in December 2014. She won the League and Cup double and conceded the fewest goals in the Women’s Super League in her first full season in England. The same season, Hedvig was named Best Swedish Women’s Goalkeeper for the fifth time. Last season 2015/16, Chelsea finished runners-up of the FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Cup.

The imposing goalkeeper has already made 133 appearances for her country and has featured in three World Cup finals, multiple European Championships and four Olympic Games. She was the greatest factor as Sweden won silver medals at the Olympic Games in Rio last summer with her heroic efforts in the penalty shoot-outs against the USA and Brazil.

“She is probably the best goalkeeper in the world on current form,” declared Chelsea LFC Manager Emma Hayes.

Cote d’Ivoire international forward Josée Nahi has signed a contract with Arna-Bjørnar Football of Norway’s Top Division (Toppserien).

The 28-year-old forward comes from the current Russian Premier League champions FC Rossiyanka with whom she reached last 16 of the UEFA Women’s Champion League. Prior to FC Rossiyanka, Josée played with another top Russian outfit Zvezda-2005 Perm with whom she won Russian League and Cup double in 2015 season.

Josée has so far earned 30 caps for Cote d’Ivoire Women’s National team and scored fourteen goals. She represented her country in their historic first appearance at the group stage of 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup final tournament in Canada.

She won a bronze medal at the African Games 2015 held in Congo and another bronze medal at the 2014 CAF Africa Women’s Championship in Namibia. Josée also played for Cote d’Ivoire at the 2012 CAF Africa Women’s Championship in Equatorial Guinea.
