Australia qualify for the Olympics

Australia Women’s National team have qualified to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games after beating Vietnam.

Melbourne City midfielder Aivi Luik was part of the Westfield Matildas squad who beat Vietnam 7 – 1 on aggregate to secure an automatic slot to the next Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

In the first leg of their playoff at home, Australia crushed Vietnam 5-0. On Wednesday they won 2-1 in the second leg in Vietnam to confirm their fourth Final Tournament appearance in the Olympic Games following their 2000, 2004, and 2016 campaigns.

Congratulations to Aivi who has a chance to make a debut at the Olympics following her debut at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Barbra Banda and Margaret Belemu made history with Zambia Women’s National team who have qualified for their maiden Women’s Olympic Football Tournament

The Copper Queens sealed their spot at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games after they edged Cameroon with a 2-1 win in a return leg at home yesterday.

Zambians went down 2-3 in the first leg in Yaounde last week. Cameroon captain Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene’s two goals along with Ajara Nchout’s strike and an assist help the Indomitable Lionesses to a come-from-behind victory.

Yesterday in Lusaka, Zambia defeated Cameroon 2-1 with Ajara scoring her side’s only goal and Barbra making a brilliant assist on Zambia’s winning goal. With the result, the two teams were tied at 4-4 on aggregate, but Zambia went through thanks to the away goals rule having scored 2 goals in Cameroon.

Cameroon still have a chance to qualify via intercontinental play-off against Chile on 9 and 15 April to have a possible return to the Olympics after their debut in 2012.

LTA were represented by a number of players on both sides, as Barbra and Margaret completed full matches for Zambia as they faced Ajara Nchout, Gabrielle Aboudi, Geneviève Ngo Mbeleck, and Augustine Ejangue from Cameroon.

El club español EDF Logroño se clasificó a las semifinales históricas de la Copa de la Reina 2019/20                                            

Con derrotar a otro club de la Liga Iberdrola – el Real Betis por 1:0 en el Estadio de las Gaunas, el EDF Logroño se aseguró la participación en las semifinales de la competición por la primera vez en su historia. Esto no fue una sorpresa ya que en el club riojano juegan 3 jugadoras representadas por LTA Agency – Jade Boho, Ida Guehai y Grace Asantewaa.

El gol victorioso fue obra de la capitana del club y una de las delanteras españolas más destacables – Jade Boho quien se juntó a las filas de EDF Logroño en el año 2018 en procedencia del Madrid CFF.

Ida Rebecca Guehai la mediocampista internacional de la Costa de Marfil, tiene gran experiencia en el fútbol europeo ya que anteriormente ha jugado por Kristianstads DFF en Suecia y el Levante UD en la Primera División española.

Grace Asantewaa viene de Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC en su país natal con el que ha ganado la Liga y la Copa de Ghana dos veces. Gracias a su talento y entrega, Grace ha sido pronunciada mejor jugadora de la Liga de su país dos veces – 2015/16 y 2018/19.

Jade y las otras jugadoras siempre han sido una parte muy importante del equipo desde su promoción a la élite del futbol femenino español.

The 32 old defender is playing in the Danish Top Division for FC Nordsjalland. For her current club, she has made till now 12 appearances in Elitedivisionen and has scored 1 goal.  Before FC Nordsjalland she has played in several clubs – AFC Ajax, FC Barcelona (ESP), Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) and etc. With FC Barcelona, she won Copa de la Reina twice (2018, 2017)and Copa Catalunya 2016/17.

Line was also a finalist of the Liga Femenina Iberdrola 2016-17, 2017-18 and UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finalist 2016-17. Among her titles, we have to mention also that she was twice Swedish Champion(2014,2015), two times winner for the Swedish Cup(2011,2010), National Championship Winner (Sweden, 2012)and lastly because of all these trophies she has been named Player of the Year by several associations in Denmark:(Players’ Association)- 2010, Player of the Year (Danish Football Association) – 2010 and Player of the Year in Brøndby IF – 2009.

The experienced defender has 130 international caps with 13 goals and was part of the Danish women’s national team at the 2017 UEFA Women’s Euro in the Netherlands that reached the final that she played.

Midfielder Sofie Junge Pedersen and striker Caroline Møller Hansen have been named in the Denmark squad for the Algarve Cup

Fortuna Hjorring’s Møller has received her first-ever call up to the senior Denmark squad. Together with her Juventus FC compatriot Junge, they will represent their nation in the 27th edition of the Algarve Cup that will be held in Portugal from 4 to 11 March 2020.

Eight countries will take part in this annual tournament Germany, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, New Zealand, and Portugal.

Sweden star Linda Sembrant has inked a contract extension with the Italian Serie A giants juventus through to June 2021

Sembrant joined Juventus from French Division 1 outfit Montpellier FC last summer on a one-year deal. The experienced central defender has quickly become a key part of Juventus’squad. She has already made 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring 3 goals this season. She has featured in all the 15 Serie A matches that the club has played until now and scored two goals in the process. Juventus currently occupy the first spot in the league table.

Sembrant won her first trophy in Italy by lifting the 2019/20 Super Cup after playing the full 90 minutes of a 2–0 win over Fiorentina in the final. She has also scored a goal in the ongoing Coppa Italia.

The Swedish veteran already counts 120 caps and 11 goals with the national team. Sembrant took part in the last three FIFA Women’s World Cup (2019, 2015, 2011), to two Olympic Games (2016 and 2012) as well as many other international hight compétitions.

The 32-year-old defender has been recently rewarded in in her native country as she was named the 2019 Women’s Defender of the Year.

The 24- year- old goalkeeper currently plays with Uganda champions UCU Lady Cardinals. She helped her club to win their first-ever FUFA Women Elite League title in 2018-2019 season after dethroning her former club Kawempe Muslim FC where she played from 2013 to June 2017 and won with them, three successive league titles (2015, 2016, 2017) and was named league-best goalkeeper in 2015 and 2017.

Ruth capped 18 times by Uganda female national team, the “Crested Cranes” that she has represented at many international tournaments and earn many distinctions.

Thanks to her technical skills and smart saves, Ruth had a memorable 2018: she was named the best goalkeeper in both tournaments. CECAFA (Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations) and  COSAFA (Council of Southern Africa Football Associations) championship. To crown the year, she was elected FUFA ( Federation of Ugandan Football Associations) Female Player of the Year 2018.

Fortuna Hjørring’s striker Caroline Møller is nominated for the Denmark Women’s League Player of the Year Award 2019.

Caroline, 21, features in the shortlist of four female players nominated for this prize, whose winner will be announced at the 2019 Football Awards Ceremony the last week of February.

Caroline’s impressive goalscoring record for Fortuna has resulted in her being rewarded with this prestigious nomination. She has become a key component in Fortuna’s front line as she has already netted 12 goals in just 14 Elitedivisionen matches in the current season. She has also performed well in their UEFA Champions League participation, scoring 3 goals in 4 appearances.

Ajara (27ans) joue actuellement à Vålerenga en Norvège. Elle a inscrit 11 buts en 22 matchs de Toppserien (championnat de première division) et a terminé meilleure buteuse de son club en 2019. Une performance qui a fortement contribué à qualifier Vålerenga pour la première fois en Ligue des Champions féminine de l’UEFA. Elle participe aussi à la qualification de son club en finale de la coupe de Norvège en inscrivant un triplé lors du match de la demi-finale.

Avant Vålerenga, la talentueuse attaquante a connu une belle saison sous les couleurs de Sandviken IL. Club où elle remporte le prix de soulier d’or, avec 17 réalisations en 22 apparences toutes compétitions confondues. Elle termine aussi la deuxième meilleure buteuse du championnat avec 15 buts et finaliste de la Coupe.

C’est le cinquième championnat ou l’internationale fait valoir son talent après la Suède (Sundsvall, meilleure buteuse 12 buts la première saison), la Russie ( WFC Rossiyanka, FC Energy Voronezh), les États-Unis (Western New York Flash) et éventuellement le Cameroun.

La brave attaquante n’excelle pas seulement en club, elle réalise aussi les merveilles avec son équipe nationale. Lors de la dernière coupe du monde FIFA 2019, Ajara réussi un exploit qui qualifie le Cameroun pour la deuxième fois successive en huitième de finale. Elle marque un doublé contre la Nouvelle-Zélande et son deuxième but sera par la suite voté deuxième meilleur du tournoi et nominé dans la catégorie FIFA Puskas récompensant les plus beaux buts de l’année. Ajara à aidé le Cameroun à atteindre le dernier tour des éliminatoires des Jeux Olympiques 2020.
Au vu de toutes ces statistiques remarquables réalisées l’année dernière, elle a fait partir de la liste finale des trois candidates au prix CAF de la meilleure joueuse africaine de l’année 2019 où elle terminera en deuxième position.

We are delighted to announce that Cameroon international forward Ajara Nchout Njoya has extended her contract with LTA Agency.

“The Indomitable Lioness” had an impressive football year with her Norwegian club Vålerenga and her national team.
The 27-year-old talented forward played every single league match with Vålerenga last season and scored 11 goals to help her side earn a maiden UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification spot. They finished Runner-up in Toppserien and Norwegian Cup. Prior to Vålerenga, Ajara spent one season with another Norwegian club IL Sandviken where she was Top scorer of the club.

It is her fifth top-level championship where she played and won titles, after playing in Sweden for Sundsvall where she was the best goalscorer in 2016, in Russia she played with WFC Rossiyanka with whom she reached the quarterfinals of the 2012-13 UEFA Women’s Champions League and with FC Energy Voronezh, she played for Western New York Flash in the USA and eventually in Cameroon where she won the league.

With the Cameroon National Team, Ajara had a remarkable 2019 Women’s World Cup in France. She scored two goals against New Zealand that earned Cameroon a last-16 tie against England. Her second goal against New Zealand was voted the second-best of the tournament and was also shortlisted for the 2019 FIFA Puskas Award. She has also featured in the African Qualification campaign for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games scoring a goal that took her country to the final round of the Qualifiers.

There was no wonder that the star made it to the final list of the 3 CAF Awards 2019 nominees for the Women’s Ballon d’Or after all the wonderful show she did on the pitch at club and national level.
