21 Dec 2020

FC Nordsjælland's and former Danish national team defender, Line Røddik Hansen has stopped her international football career spanning over 14 years at the highest level

The 32-year-old has decided to retire after a brilliant career of professional football experienced through five major European countries. Line made history as she played for giant clubs such as FC Barcelona, Olympique Lyonnais, FC Rosengård, Tyresö FF and Ajax Amsterdam abroad, and also with Skovlunde, IF Brøndby IF, and finally FC Nordsjælland in her country.

The polyvalent defender’s career was distinguished by numerous titles and personal distinctions: two Denmark Elitedivisionen gold medals (2007, 2008), two Danish Women’s Cups (2007, 2020), three Swedish Damallsvenskan gold medals (2012, 2014, 2015), one Swedish Super Cup (2015), a remarkable treble in France with Lyon in 2015/16 season winning the League, the Cup, and the UEFA Women’s Champions League, 2 Spanish Cups (Copa de la Reina) in 2017 and 2018, and finally 1 cup title in the Netherlands in the 2018/19 season. In 2010, she was named Danish Football Player of the Year.

After making her international debut as an 18-year-old, Line holds the record of 132 caps for Denmark Women’s National football team. She notably helped them to a second place and silver medals at the 2017 UEFA Women’s Euro staged in the Netherlands.

LTA Agency are proud to have accompanied Line during a big part of her active career and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
