Banda extends with LTA

LTA Agency are pleased to announce a new representation agreement contract with Zambia international Barbra Banda

Zambia captain has extended her deal with us just a month after she wowed the world at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games where she wrote her name into the record books: No female player has ever managed two hattricks at an Olympic Games in two consecutive matches. She became all-time African Top Scorer at the Olympics in the women’s event.

The 21-year-old’s professional career started at Logrono in Spain transferred by LTA Agency in 2018. She becomes the first female Zambian footballer to play in Europe and since 2020 in Shanghai Shengli in China. Banda has been the talk of Chinese Women’s Super League. The powerful forward won the Golden Boot of China’s top flight after scoring 18 goals in 13 games. She helped her side seal third place in the standings.

As she inspires many young girls at home to follow in her footsteps, Barbra launched a Foundation to encourage them. She become the first female football player to launch a Foundation in Zambia. The Barbra Banda Foundation aims at promoting empowerment for Women girls.

Banda also boxes at a high level.

Irene Parades won the 2020/21 UEFA Women’s Champions League Defender of the Season award

Barcelona’s Irene Paredes has been named the 2020/21 UEFA Women’s Champions League Defender of the Season at the UEFA Awards ceremony held in Istanbul.

Paredes earned the prize for her exploits with Paris Saint-Germain before she made the move to FC Barcelona this summer. The centre back captained PSG and helped the club to the Women’s Champions League semi-finals and crowned the year with a historic French title as they ending Lyon’s five-year reign as European champions in the last eight.

Paredes, 30, came sixth in the voting for the inaugural award last term. This year she earned 62 points of the votes whether seven points more than the second defender in the list of results.

La défenseure internationale camerounaise Ejangue Augustine s’est engagée avec AS Pomigliano, club italien de Serie A

La vice capitaine de l’équipe nationale du Cameroun a rejoint AS Pomigliano, un club nouvellement promu en Serie A. La joueuse de 32 ans va rejoindre Marija Banušić et Deborah Salvatori Rinaldi aussi representéés par LTA Agency.

Ejangue vient de la première division de son pays ou elle jouait avec le FC Ebolowa. C’est une joueuse expérimentée qui va découvrir son sixième club professionnel après des expériences en Norvège; Espagne, Danemark, Suède, et en Russie.

Ejangue est une cadre des Lionnes Indomptables. Elle comptabilise plus de 60 sélections dont quelques-unes en Coupe du monde (2015, et 2019) et aux J.O de Londre en 2012. Elle a participé à plusieurs Coupe d’Afrique des Nations féminine.

Slovenia midfielder Nina Predanic has penned a deal with Grasshopper Club Zürich of the Swiss Women’s Super League for the 2021/2022 season

Nina (24) moves to Grasshopper Club Zürich after a season at the Austrian Women’s Bundesliga with SK Sturm Graz. She helped the club to finish third in the league position with11 goals scored in 15 league appearances. She joins Sturm Graz in 2020 after a stint at Znk Split. The exciting midfielder also played with Saint-Rose Golden Knights (USA) and in her country with NK Brežice, NK Brinje, and ZNK Radomlje.

Nina Predanič has already played eight-time for the Slovenia National team and scored one goal.

Sweden goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl reached Olympics final for the second consecutive time by beating Australia 1-0

Since her debut to the Olympics games in 2004 with Sweden, the country has reached quarter-finals twice (2008,2012), the fourth place in 2004 and in the last edition at Rio de Janeiro in 2016, they won a silver medal after a 2-1 defeat against Germany in Final.

Hedvig has played a key role in all these recent Olympics achievements. This year in Tokyo, the Swedes have not yet lost any of their five games and Hedvig has played four of them registering two clean sheets: 3-0 against the United States and 1-0 against Australia.

To tempt to win their first-ever gold medal, Sweden will face Canada in the final of Tokyo 2020 Olympics Women on Friday 6th at Japan National Stadium.

AC Milan midfielder Refiloe Jane has penned a new one-year contract with the Italian Seria A women’s giants

Well known as Fifi, Refiloe joined Milan’s in September 2019 to gain more experience after playing ten times for Canberra United in Australia’s W-League, her first-ever club abroad. Fifi played 17 times in Serie A last season and has collected 39 competitive appearances since signing with the Italian side.

The South African participated in her club’s historic achievement. They were 2020-2021 Runner-up of Serie A for the first time and have qualified for UEFA Women’s Champions League. A first since their recent debut in Italy’s women’s top level.

Refiloe has featured at the international level with South Africa, earning over 100 appearances for her country, helping to pioneer the sport there.

Lidija Kulis has joined Hungary giants Ferencváros (NOÏ NB I) from Italian vice-champions, AC Milan

The international Bosnian left-foot defender player has decided to follow her football adventure in Hungary with reigning champions Ferencváros.

Serie A runner-up and Italian cup finalist last season with AC Milan, Lidija brings with her a good international experience.

Prior to her two seasons at Milan, she played most of her football with German’s side Turbine Potsdam (first and second-team). With the first Potsdam team, she played seven years. Lidija also spent a spell with Linköpings FC in Sweden and with Scottish champions Glasgow City.

The 29-year old player also has experience in the Champions League and with the national team that she represents since 2011.

Sweden’s Hedvig Lindahl and Aivi Luik of Australia have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic women’s football tournament

After finishing top of their group on nine points, Sweden will face Japan tomorrow for a place in the semi-final while Australia will face New Zealand.

The Sweden side kicked off their campaign last week with a convincing 3-0 win over the World Cup champions United States. Thanks to a clean sheet made by Hedvig. In their second outing, they also beat Australia with Hedvig between the stick, before going on to win comfortably against Zealand.

The Matildas assured their place in the knockout stages after a valuable point in a goalless draw against the USA. Aivi Luik featured in Australia’s two first matches. A (2-1) win against New Zealand and a (4-2) defeat against de Sweden.

Spain and Equato-Guinean striker, Jade Boho has inked a one year deal with Swiss champions Servette FCCF where she will join Léonie Fleury also represented by LTA

The 34-year-old international striker has joined Women’s Super League champions Servette FCCF from EDF Logroño of Spain’s Liga Iberdrola. The Swiss club won the league last season and will compete in the UEFA Women Champion League this season. Jade scored 28 goals in 76 league appearances during the three seasons spent with Logroño and was Copa de la Reina Runner Up – 2019/20. Prior to Logrono, the experienced striker played with Madrid; Reading, Bristol Academy, Rayo Vallecano, Atlético Madrid and CFFTorrejón.

Jade won three consecutive leagues titles (2010, 2009, 2008) and a Copa de la Reina in 2008 with Rayo Vallecano. She won the 2012 AFCON with Equatorial Guinea, she won the 2004 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship with Spain and also played in the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women’s World.

Zambia’s Barbra Banda make Olympics history with two successive hat-tricks tying the Olympics goal record in just 2 games against the Netherlands and China

The 21-year-old striker and team captain notched back-to-back hat tricks in Zambia’s first two group stage matches against the Netherlands (10-3 defeat) and China (4-4 ). She is the first woman in Games history to score two-hat tricks. she now holds the record for most Olympic goals by an African (men and women).

Banda’s second hattrick of the tournament catapulted her to the top of Tokyo’s scoring charts.

Thanks to Banda’s heroic efforts, the team has already broken the record for most Olympic goals by an African team in a single competition.

Zambia will play for a spot in the knockout rounds when they face off against Brazil on Tuesday.
