Aisha Masaka clinched 2021 COSAFA Women's Championships with Tanzania

The 17-year-old striker has added a new trophy to her achievements after earning two more senior caps with the national team and scoring a goal against Zimbabwe during the tournament held in South Africa.

Tanzania became the winner after the victory over Malawi (1-0) in the final at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday. It is Tanzania Women’s National Team (Twiga Stars) first-ever international trophy outside of their region. They have previously triumphed at COSAFA with the U17 and U20 National Teams. Aisha was part of the Championship winning U-17 side last year as well as the top scorer of the 2020 tournament with 10 goals.

The COSAFA 2021 Championships was held from 28 September to 9 October 2021. Twelve nations were took part: Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, South Sudan (guest), Tanzania (guest), Uganda (guest), Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Two players represented by our agency took part – Aisha and Ruth Aturo of Uganda.
