Irene Paredes played the full time of the cup final played at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque in Leganes on Sunday to help her side clinch its fourth title in a row and the fifth in history.
This first trophy of the year is Irene’s fourth Super Cup title won with the club.

Sandrine is a Burundian national team player and Egyptian club FC Masar.
Following her stellar performances at both club and national team levels, she was nominated for the CAF Awards in two categories last year, CAF Africa Player of the Year award and CAF Africa Interclub Player of the Year award – 2024.
Sandrine helped FC Masar to win the 2024 CAF Africa Women’s Champions League Bronze Medal, and she figured in the Women’s Champions League Best XI. Last season, she won the Egypt Women’s Cup and was the 2023/24 Egypt Women’s Premier League Best Goal Scorer with 66 goals.
In Burundi, she played with Fofila PF and La Colombe FC before joining the Tanzanian club Fountain Gate Princess, where she left for Egypt.

The Cairo native plays for UC Irvine in the USA in the NCAA Women’s Soccer (D1 BIG WEST). Before, she played in her country with El Gouna FC and Wadi Degla FC, where she won the Egypt Women’s Premier League and Egypt Women’s Cup. Additionally, she was named the 2016 and 2019 Egypt Women’s Premier League Best Player.

Copper Queens and Orlando Pride striker Barbra Banda has won the CAF Women’s Player of the Year title.
Zambia’s Barbra has been crowned the 2024 African Footballer of the Year at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) awards ceremony in Marrakesh, Morocco.
The Zambian had a magnificent 2024 season with Orlando Pride, winning the USA National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and NWSL Championship MVP.
Banda was the MVP in the USA National Women’s Soccer League, scoring 17 goals in 25 league games. She was instrumental as Orlando gracefully won the NWSL championship and the Shield title. The former Shanghai Shengli striker scored a hat trick against Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, becoming the first player in women’s football to score three hat tricks at the Olympic Games.
The Orlando striker is the first Zambian player to win the award.
She has made history by becoming the first player from Africa to be voted into the FIFPRO Women’s World 11 following the unveiling of the team for 2024 on Monday.
She won the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year 2024.
She also became the first African woman to finish in the top 12 of the Ballon d’Or.

Orlando Pride striker Banda is among 16 nominees for the 2024 Best FIFA Women’s Player award.
The 24-year-old, who recently won the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year and finished 13th among a select group of outstanding players touted for the 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or, is also a contender for two other prestigious awards. The 2024 CAF Woman Footballer of the Year and the 2024 FIFA Awards’ Best Women’s Player awards.
Being nominated for four major awards in one year is a sign of greatness.
Banda is nominated for finishing as the joint-second top scorer at the Paris 2024 Olympics, scored a hat-trick against Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics and scored 12 goals in her first 12 appearances for Orlando Pride in the 2024 US National Women’s Soccer League.
Overall, she scored 17 goals in 25 league games since joining her team in March from Shanghai Shengli. Banda helped Orlando win their first-ever league title and was selected in the NWSL XI of the season. She was also nominated NWSL Championship MVP.

The 24-year-old striker is the 10th winner of the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year award. Banda received the most votes from readers of the BBC Sport website after a five-player shortlist was announced last month.
The shortlist – based on performances from September 2023 to August 2024 – was selected by a large panel of experts involved in football around the world, including coaches, players, administrators and non-BBC journalists.
Banda scored four goals for Zambia at the Paris Olympics this summer, including a first-half hat-trick against Australia, to become the leading African goalscorer in Olympic history with 10.
She scored 13 goals for Pride in 2024 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) regular season, despite only joining in March, and four goals in the playoffs, including the winning goal in the championship final on Saturday as Orlando Pride won their maiden title.
Banda was also named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the NWSL.

It is an exceptional year for FC Masar, who have added the CAF Champions League Bronze trophy to the Egyptian Women’s Premier League and Cup trophies won earlier.
FC Masar won the Champions League on penalties shoots against Edo Queens (Nigeria), following a scoreless draw in regular time.
For the team’s first appearance in the tournament, they finished third and they were voted the Fair Play team. Mariha played 90 minutes in every group stage and final stage game. In the third-place final, she scored the winning penalty and was named the MVP of the match.
The CAF Women’s Champions League 2024 was hosted in Morocco.
FC Masar’s former name was Tutankhamun FC.
