Irene Paredes has clinched another Spanish championship trophy with FC Barcelona

The Spain defender has won the 2024/25 Liga F title with FC Barcelona. It is Irene’s third consecutive domestic championship while for FC Barcelona, it is their sixth consecutive time to be crowned Spain champion.

Irene appeared in 22 league games this season, scoring two goals for her club that lost only two games over 29. With one game remaining to be played, Barcelona won the 2024/25 league last Sunday after their large triumph over Real Betis 9-0 away.

The 33-year-old defender joined Barcelona in 2021 and, from day one, she became one of the team’s leaders. The veteran center-back started in most games helping the club to all trophies (league and cups) won since her arrival. In addition to this league trophy and the Spanish Super Cup won earlier this year, there are still two titles to win (UEFA Women’s Champions League and Copa the la Reina) and they qualified for the finals of these competitions.

They will meet Chelsea in the Champions League final on Saturday, May 24 in Lisbon and, on June 7th they face Atlético de Madrid in the Cup final.
