Two players represented by LTA Agency, Spanish defender Irene Paredes and Australian midfielder Aivi Luik, are involved in their first-ever last four of the FIFA Women’s World Cup

Both veteran players have reached this tournament stage for the first time with their countries.

Spain was the first country to qualify for the semi-final after their 2-1 victory over the Netherlands, the runner-up of the 2019 World Cup.
Irene’s country will play their first ever semi-final tomorrow against Sweden in Auckland for a spot in the final. It was also Irene’s first time to reach the quarterfinals after her debut in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada in 2015.

Aivi, with Australia, will face England for their first historic semi-final encounter on Wdnesday in Sydney. The co-host booked their place in the semi-final after their win over France in a dramatic penalty shootout in the quarterfinal.
