Ştefania Vătafu wins Belgian Superleague

The 25-year-old Romanian midfielder Ştefania Vătafu has bagged the 2019 Belgian Women's Super League title with RSC Anderlecht. The Romanian national team playmaker, Ştefania joined the Brussels-based powerhouse in July 2018 from Spain's Liga Iberdrola outfit UDG Tenerife.

Ştefania started in the decisive match against KAA Gent as Anderlecht defeated their opponents 0-1 to retain the title and qualify for the 2019-2020 UEFA Women’s Champions League preliminary round scheduled to take place in August this year.
This is Ştefania’s first title outside of Romania. Previously, she won six straight League championships with Olimpia Cluj in her home country.
