Aivi renews with BK Häcken

Aivi Luik has extended her contract with BK Häcken until 2024

Australian international midfielder will remain at BK Häcken until at least 2024, having extended her contract for a year with the Swedish first-division club.

Aivi joined BK Häcken from Pomigliano (Italy) in July 2022 and has quickly gone on to become a team-key player in the midfield due to her experience and ability. She played nine league games during the first season, helping the club to the league second place. This season, she has featured in 20 of the 26 league games for the club, which ended runner-up in the table and won silver in the Swedish Cup.

The experienced midfielder is helping her team to the Champions League matches. BK Häcken’s 0-0 draw against Chelsea, where she played 90 minutes on Friday, has kept the side on top of Group D of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Born in Bocsa Laura Rus, 36, is one of the most important players in the history of Romania’s women’s national team. She has many achievements in football.

Well known as ”Lala”, the forward represented her nation for 19 years, earning 140 national team caps and being considered one of the top three scorers.

The UEFA Women’s Nations League match against Croatia was Lala’s last national team game. She wore the captain’s armband and left the field in the 74th minute, to the applause of the fans present in the stadium.

Barbra Banda, the Copper Queens captain, has been listed as one of the final three nominees for the 2023 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.

According to the top three nominees on the CAF list released on Friday, the 23-year-old Shanghai Shengli forward will slug out with Oshoala, the current holder, and Thembi Kgatlana. She is the youngest of the three in her category and the only Zambian present in this edition CAF Award’s final.

Banda is the only player represented by LTA Agency still competing for this prestigious individual prize, Ajara Nchout Njoya and Refiloe Jane had also made the first list of 30 players revealed by CAF.

The 2023 CAF Awards will be held on Monday, 11 December 2023, in Morocco, Marrakech (18:00 GMT).

LTA players helped their countries qualify for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024

Aissata Traore, Fatou Dembele, and Saratou (Mali) – Grace Asantewa (Ghana) Aisha Masaka (Tanzania), and Barbra Banda (Zambia).

The 12 teams for next year’s CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) are confirmed following the final round of qualifiers on Tuesday.

Mali easily booked their spot in Africa’s prestigious competition by defeating Guinea 3-0, advancing with big aggregate score lines (10-2) after a wide 7-2 win in the first leg. Aissata Traore, Fatou Dembele, and Saratou Traore featured in all matches of the two rounds of qualification. Aissata scored four goals, and Dembele scored one.

Ghana qualified despite losing the second leg 1-0 away to Namibia. Boasting a 3-1 lead from home in the first leg, the Black Queens ultimately prevailed 3-2 overall to clinch their place in Morocco 2024. Grace Asantewaa featured in the two matches and also played against Rwanda in the first round.

Zambia, the last-edition bronze medalist, qualified with the biggest aggregate score to secure qualification for their third consecutive finals. They joined the qualifiers in the second round. They hammered Angola 6-0 on Tuesday second leg to seal a 12-0 aggregate. Victories in which Barbra scored four goals in total.

Aisha Masaka helped Tanzania secure their second appearance at the WAFCON after the first in 2010. Despite losing 1-0 against Togo in Lome, they advanced 3-1 on aggregate after winning the first leg. Aisha played all qualifying matches against Ivory Coast in the first round and Togo in the second round.

Ajara Nchout Njoya and Barbara Banda make shortlist of 2023 CAF Awards for the prestigious category Player of The Year

In the first list of 20 players revealed by CAF, three players represented by LTA Agency were figured. Ten players remain in contention for the Player of the Year after a recent shortlist announced yesterday, which include Cameroon Ajara and Barbara of Zambia.

Milan international striker, Ajara is captain of Cameroon national team. As a reminder, she finished second in 2019 CAF Award, She has been a stalwart for the indomitable lionnesses throughout the year, helping them to the third round of the Olympics qualifiers, she scored a goal as they beat Uganda a 3-2 aggregate. She scored a penalty as Cameroon fell to Kenya by a 3-4 in penalty shootout after a 1-1 aggregate in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The new intrance Barbra Banda who is among the the nominee for her first ever time, she plays for Shanghai Shengli in China Women’s super League and captains the Zambia women’s national football team. The young star has been instrumental in her team first participation to the 2023 FIFA World Cup where she scored a penalty in their 3-1 win over Costa Rica.

Forwards Tereza Engesha and Ines Nrehy crowned South Korea champions with Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels

Both LTA players played a crucial role in helping Red Angel lift their 11th consecutive title with a 6-2 win over Suwon FC in the second leg of the final.

Kenya’s Tereza and Ivorian Ines played the two matches in the final. Having lost 1-3 in the first leg against Suwon, they bounced back with a wide 6-2 win in the second leg, in which Ines scored the two last goals and Tereza made an assist.

It’s Ines’ first trophy earned since joining the South Korean top league in 2018 with Gyeongju KHNP. Having already been runner-up in 2021 and 2020. For Tereza, it is her second consecutive league title with the club.

Ajara Nchout Njoya, Refiloe Jane and Barbra Banda nominated for CAF Awards 2023 in Category Player of the Year

Last Tuesday, CAF has released list of the preliminary nominees for the various women’s categories for the CAF Awards 2023. The categories include Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, National Team of the Year, and Club of the Year.
Three players represented by LTA Agency have been listed among the 30 nominees for Category Player of the Year.

  1. Ajara Nchout Njoya, striker (Cameroon, Internazionale Milano)
  2. Refiloe Jane, midfielder (South Africa, Sassuolo)
  3. Barbara Banda striker (Zambia, Shanghai Shengli)

The winner of each category will be decided after votes from a voting panel consisting of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals from Member Associations, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations and clubs involved at the group stages of the Interclub competitions.


The winner of each category will be announced at the Awards Gala to be held on 11 December 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Aivi Luik and Aisha Masaka have clinched second place of the 2023 Sweden championship with BK Häcken

LTA players played an important role in their club’s finishing second in the Swedish League for the second consecutive time. With five goals scored, Tanzanian striker Masaka played 12 matches and showed she had excellent ball-winning skills. She scored a brace against Piteå in their last league match of the season. Aivi the Australian midfielder, made 20 league appearances during the campaign.

A total of 13 teams entered the competition, which kicked off on March 24, with the three first qualifying for the UEAFA Women’s Champions League.

BK Häcken will now focus on their 2023/24 UEAFA Women’s Champions League games. They have already reached the group stage.

Swedidh Emma Berglund, who was seventh with FC Rosengard.
Swedish Hedvig Lindahl and RD Congo Flavine Mawete were in the 11th position with Djurgården IF.

LTA players are through to the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Cup with FC Kryvbas after a victory over Zhytlobud-1 FC on Saturday night


FC Kryvbas beat Zhytlobud-1 2-4 on penalties to reach the last four of the Cup after their quarter-final finished a 1-1 draw following normal and extra-time, during which Fatou Coulibaly, Isis Sonkeng, Mahira Ali, and Cynthia Musungu all played.


Last season, FC Kryvbas left the tournament in the semi-final. Let’s hope this year they go further than this level with more LTA players in the team.

À 18 ans, Naomie Kabre est passée pro. La milieu de terrain du Burkina Faso vient de parapher son premier contrat professionnel avec Karagümrük en première division turque. Une carrière professionnelle qui débute déjà pour cette prometteuse joueuse qui fait déjà de belles prestations en sélection nationale.

Naomie Kabre vient du club de football Etincelles avec lequel elle a brillé en remportant des titres individuels comme meilleure joueuse ou meilleure buteuse tout en aidant le club à remporter un championnat et deux Coupes du Faso Dames ainsi que plusieurs titres de vice-champions. Elle a été élue meilleure buteuse et meilleure joueuse du Burkina Faso le 29 septembre 2023, lors de la toute première édition des récompenses du football féminin au Burkina Faso.

Avec l’équipe nationale, elle a récemment joué les matchs de qualification de la CAN féminine 2023 contre Eswatini.
