Lala won Cyprus Super Cup

Romanian international striker Laura Roxana Rus (Lala) won the 2017 Cyprus Women's Super Cup with Apollon Ladies FC.
Lala (30) who recently rejoined Cyprus’s leading side has proved an instant success starting every Apollon match as the squad captain. Lala’s team secured a remarkable 9th consecutive Women’s Super Cup title as they defeated Barcelona FA 3-0 on penalties after a tough 1-1 draw in regular time.
Rita Akaffou, Rebecca Elloh and Fatou Coulibaly – three Ivorian stars also represented by LTA – were the losing finalists and have all fought hard for 90 minutes for Barcelona FA. Elloh scored a header at the 87th minute to equalize for the underdogs and to take the final to the penalty shoot-out stage.
