Swedish international goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl has won her first FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga title with VFL Wolfsburg
The reigning champions retained the trophy to make it their sixth League title.
The world-renowned football star, Hedvig joined the German powerhouse at the beginning of this season and has already appeared 16 times in 20 league matches to help the club to win the 2019-20 German Championship.
With a 2-0 home win against SC Freiburg, Wolfsburg has secured the League title with two matches to spare. They currently lead the league table by eight points ahead of FC Bayern Munich. The defending champions are unbeaten since the beginning of the league season.
The official trophy presentation will take place after the final game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Sunday, June 28.
Hedvig and her teammates will look for the double against SGS Essen in the final of DFB Cup that will be played on Saturday, 4 July.
