Tereza Engesha scored her Wuhan Chegu first goal in a 3-3 draw in a China Super League game against Beijing
It didn’t take long for the Kenyan striker to make an impact in her new club. Just in her second appearance for Wuhan, she opened her goals account.
Engesha managed to find a goal on Tuesday in Wuhan’s 3:3 home draw against Beijing in their second league match of the season.
Engesha signed for Wuhan from the South Korean side Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels. She joined her new club in China just after helping Harambee Starlets secure the CAF Morocco second-round qualifiers. The qualifier’s first round was held from February 17 to 26, where she played a crucial role scoring the only goal in the second leg match over Tunisia.
Engesha joined Hyundai Steel in 2022, she won two championship titles and helped the club reach the quarterfinals of the 2024/25 AFC Women’s Champions League, where she also finished as the top scorer in the group stage with 5 goals.
We hope this is just the first goal of many more in the China Super League.
LTA Agency congratulate Engesha and wish her all the best in China.
