Carolina Mendes signs with Djurgården
Portuguese national team striker, Carolina Mendes has signed with Djurgårdens IF (Stockholm) in the Swedish Top League - Damallsvenskan.
The 28-year-old comes from one of the top teams in the Russian Premier League, FC Rossiyanka and brings with her, her vast international experience.
Prior to her time in the Russian league, Carolina played for UD Ponte Frielas and SU 1º de Dezembro in the Portuguese National Championship. She subsequently moved to Spain, where she played for UE L’Estartit and SPC Llanos de Olivenza in Spain’s Primera División. She later played for ASD Riviera di Romagna in Italy’s Serie A.
