Barbra Banda and Orlando Pride have made history by clinching their first NWSL and recording a double

Banda had an excellent first season with Orlando Pride in the USA National Women’s Soccer League.
She won the NWSL and the NWSL Shield. 
She scored the most goals in the 2024 playoffs.
She has been named in the NWSL XI of the season. 
She was voted NWSL Championship game MVP.

Led by forward Banda’s wonder strike in the 37th minute, Orlando Pride created history as they defeated the Washington Spirit 1-0 in the final of the 2024 NWSL Championship at CPKC Stadium to win their first-ever league title. A league trophee who came in addition to the NWSL Shield won last month to complete the double this campaign.

Banda was a standout menber for the team; she helped with both the NWSL Shield and Championship, recording 13 and four goals, respectively. Her four goals in the 2024 playoffs are the most by any player ever in a single postseason. She has been named in the NWSL XI of the season and was voted NWSL Championship game MVP.
