Adina returns to action after injury absence
Sassuolo defender Adina Giurgiu came back to the pitch after a serious injury which kept her out of the game for many months
Sassuolo ends the season in third place in the Italian Serie A table. In their last match of the season on Sunday 23rd, they beat Empoli 6-1 away. The Romanian international played the last minutes of the game as she came in at the 72sd minutes of the encounter to help her team to a good end of the 2020/21 season. It is Adina’s only appearance of the season due to her thigh injury.
The 26-year-old joined Sassuolo in 2018 from Olimpia Cluj in Romania. She has already earned more than 56 caps with Romania Women’s National team.
