Copper Queens captain, Barbra Banda, received her second consecutive Ballon d’Or nomination

The shortlist of 30 contenders for the 2025 Women’s Ballon d’Or was unveiled on August 7, 2025. Among them is one of the LTA Agency’s players, Barbra Banda. The huge event will be held on Monday, 22 September 2025, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

Zambia striker Barbra Banda is the current CAF Africa Ballon d’Or winner. Last month, she played the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with the Copper Queens as they reached the quarters. Banda makes the Women’s Ballon d’Or nominees list after a standout 2024 campaign with Orlando Pride in the NWSL, in which she was named NWSL Championship MVP and a finalist in the league’s MVP race, while also being named to the 2024 NWSL Best XI Team. The 25-year-old was also selected for the FIFPRO Women’s World 11 and voted the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year in addition to receiving her first Ballon d’Or nomination last year. She came out number 12 in 2024 edition.

Banda’s Club, Orlando Pride, is also nominated for the Women’s Club of the Year.
