Violeth finalist of Futsal AFCON

Violeth Mwamakamba clinched a silver medal in the Women's Futsal Africa Cup of Nations 2025 with Tanzania, and they secured a spot at the FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup
Violeth participated with Tanzania in the inaugural Women’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). She captained the team, finished the competition with two goals, and won Woman of the Match in the semifinal against Cameroon. By finishing second in the competition, Tanzania has guaranteed a place at the first-ever FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup, which will take place in the Philippines from 27 November to 7 December 2025.
The tournament was held in Morocco from April 22 to 30 with Angola, Cameroon, Egypt, Guinea, Madagascar, Morocco, Namibia, and Senegal being the participants. Morocco won the cup and Cameroon claimed third place.
