Vero extends with Fiorentina
Veronica Boquete has penned a new deal with Italy's top-flight side Fiorentina until June 30, 2025
The star Spain midfielder has signed a new deal with her club for one season more in Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Vero joined Fiorentina in January 2022. She has scored 20 goals across two seasons and donned the captain’s armband on multiple occasions.
This second season with Fiorentina and the fifth in Serie A, she especially shone as she helped the team place third in the league with a bronze and finish runner-up in the Italian Cup. Vero was Fiorentina’s top scorer at the end of the season with nine league goals and eight assists. She also featured in the Serie A Best Team of the Season for 2023/24.
