Two LTA players set for Egypt cup semis
Mahira Ali of Masar FC and Jennifer Owusuaa of ZED FC both made it to the 2025 Egypt Cup semifinals
The Egypt Cup 2025 is edging to its conclusion and two of our LTA players have reached the semi-finals.
Egypt striker Mahira Ali played the full match and scored one goal. FC Masar cruised to the semi-final, sweeping aside Modern Sport 7–0. Mahira has experience at this stage of the competition, as last season she won the cup with FC Masar.
Ghanaian midfielder Jennifer Owusuaa of ZED FC played the quarter-final against Zamalek. They qualified after winning a penalty shoot-out 4–3 after a 3–3 draw. Jennifer, who joined ZED FC last October 2024, will experience this level of the competition for the first time.
ZED FC will face Wadi Degla in the semi-final and FC Masar will face Al Alhy.
