LTA players lift a 2nd Super Cup

Sofie Junge Pedersen and Linda Sembrant won a second consecutive Italian Super Cup trophy with Juventus

On Sunday at the Aldo Gastaldi stadium in Chiavari, with the same score and the same opponent as last season, Juventus of Linda and Sofie have kept the Super Cup trophy.

Juventus won their first 2021 trophy after downing Fiorentina in the final (2-0) to lift their second consecutive title.

Two LTA players have participated in this historic achievement. Sofie played the full final and was a substitute in the semis while Linda was an unused substitute in the final but actively defended in the semis during 90 full minutes + 30 minutes extra time.

Sofie Junge Pedersen and Linda Sembrant helped Juventus to beat Roma 2-1 to reach the Italian Women’s Super Cup Final

The Swedish defender Sembrant played the full semi-final match while Denmark midfielder Sofie came in as a substitute at the 65th minute to register the club’s first victory of 2021.

In the final, Juventus ( defending champion) will face their last edition opponent, Fiorentina that they had dethroned in the 2019/20 final with a 2-0 home victory.

Our players will both play their second Super Cup final. In last season’s final, Sofie and sembrant played the entire game.

The final will be held this Sunday,  January 10 at 12.30 Am at Chiavari Municipal Stadium.

L’internationale de 23 ans joue en Division 1 féminine avec  Guingamp depuis 2019. Aissata a marqué deux buts en Coupe de France 2020, permettant à l’En Avant d’atteindre la demi- finale, son meilleur parcours. Guingamp est son deuxième club a l’étranger après Besiktas-Istanbul. En Turquie, Aïssata Traoré a mené le club stambouliote au titre de champion, en inscrivant la bagatelle de 8 buts en 9 apparitions.  
L’ancienne joueuse des Super Lionnes d’Hamdallaye est une joueuse  incontournable de l’équipe nationale féminine du Mali qu’elle a aidé à atteindre  les demi-finales de la CAN 2018, elle a aussi joué les éliminatoires des J.O de Tokyo.

Cameroon star Ajara Nchout Njoya has signed a deal with the Spanish powerhouse Atlético de Madrid

The 27-year-old forward joined the Spain Primera division from a successful 3-season spell in Norway’s first division (Toppserien). In two seasons with Vålerenga, the striker recorded a total of 30 goals in 50 games. She bagged the top scorer title of the Norwegian league with 10 goals for Vålerenga in the recently-ended 2020 campaign helping the club to win their maiden domestic League and Cup double. She firstly spent a season with IL Sandviken where she was also the club’s top scorer. Remarkably, Ajara reached three Cup finals in her 3 years in Norway.

It is a big leap forward for the ”Indomitable lioness“ to one of the leading European clubs. At 27 years old, Ajara Nchout Njoya made history as the first-ever Cameroonian female player to join a historic big European club such as Atlético de Madrid – Spanish League champions three times in a row between 2017 and 2019 and runners-up last season.

Ajara’s Spain experience will expand her impressive professional career to a fifth foreign championship after Norway, Sweden, Russia, and the United States.

LTA Agency manager Anton Maksimov said: ‘It’s a huge achievement for a Foumban native like Ajara. I remember vividly meeting her in 2008 in Douala as a young girl aspiring to play professional football one day. She has gone a long way and worked very hard to arrive at where she is now.’

With 50 caps and 10 goals to her credit, Ajara played for Cameroon National Team in the final tournaments of two FIFA Women’s World Cups – France 2019 and Canada 2015, the London 2012 Olympic Games, and many other high-level international competitions. Ajara scored one of the best goals of the France 2019 World Cup later nominated by FIFA for the 2019 Puskas Award, and last year was named among the three finalists for the 2019 CAF Best Female Player of the Year Award.

L’attaquante internationale camerounaise Ajara Nchout Njoya s’est engagée pour une saison et demi avec le club espagnol de première division Atlético de Madrid

La lionne indomptable de 27 ans est la toute première camerounaise de l’histoire à signer dans un aussi grand club historique tel que l’Atlético de Madrid qui a remporté trois des quatre derniers championnats d’Espagne.

Ajara va découvrir son cinquième championnat étranger en Espagne après 3 saisons réussies dans le championnat féminin norvégien (Toppserien), couronnées par le titre de la meilleure buteuse de Norvège 2020 et d’un doublé historique (Coupe-Championnat) offert à Vålerenga. En deux saisons avec Vålerenga l’attaquante prolifique a marqué 30 fois en 50 matchs. Arrivée en Norvège en 2018 à IL Sandviken, Ajara est Soulier d’Or de son club en 2018.

Avant la Norvège, elle a aussi marqué son passage en Suède, aux États-Unis et en Russie.

Westfield Matildas midfielder Alex Chidiac returned to the W-League with the champions Melbourne City FC

The 21-year old came back to the W-League following two and a half seasons in Spanish Primera Division club Atletico Madrid where she made appearances in the Liga Iberdrola and UEFA Women Champions League. She won the Spain’s domestic league title in 2018/19 and the Spanish Cup in 2019.

Before moving to Europe, she was a youth player at Adelaide United where she made her W-League debut at the age of 15. A year later, Alex linked up with Melbourne City as they won the double in 2015/16 season. Then, she returned to Adelaide United in September 2016 from where she left in 2018 for her first European experience.

The young talent, who earned her first national team cap for the Matildas at 16, has already 16 appearances for Australia.

Grace Asantewaa scored her first official goals for EDF Logroño in a 3-0 win against Athletic Club

Ghana international Asantewaa joined the Spanish Liga Iberdrola club EDF Logroño last season. The creative midfielder kicked off her goal-scoring tally for the side with a brace yesterday.

Asantewaa’s first goal came just in the opening three minutes with the help of the club’s captain Jade Boho who made the assist. Five minutes later their teammate doubled the hosts’ lead. At the 40th minute Grace made it 3 goals to nil to seal the Rioja’s team famous 3-0 victory over Basque powerhouse Athletic Club of Bilbao.

This last game of the eventful 2020 for Logroño, happily concluded with a win at home, featured two other LTA Agency-represented talents: the Ivorian forward Elloh Rebecca and defender Nothando Vilakazi from South Africa. The victory was dedicated to the Spanish striker Olga Garcia who recently sustained a serious injury.

FC Nordsjælland’s and former Danish national team defender, Line Røddik Hansen has stopped her international football career spanning over 14 years at the highest level.

The 32-year-old has decided to retire after a brilliant career of professional football experienced through five major European countries. Line made history as she played for giant clubs such as FC Barcelona, Olympique Lyonnais, FC Rosengård, Tyresö FF and Ajax Amsterdam abroad, and also with Skovlunde, IF Brøndby IF, and finally FC Nordsjælland in her country.

The polyvalent defender’s career was distinguished by numerous titles and personal distinctions: two Denmark Elitedivisionen gold medals (2007, 2008), two Danish Women’s Cups (2007, 2020), three Swedish Damallsvenskan gold medals (2012, 2014, 2015), one Swedish Super Cup (2015), a remarkable treble in France with Lyon in 2015/16 season winning the League, the Cup, and the UEFA Women’s Champions League, 2 Spanish Cups (Copa de la Reina) in 2017 and 2018, and finally 1 cup title in the Netherlands in the 2018/19 season. In 2010, she was named Danish Football Player of the Year.

After making her international debut as an 18-year-old, Line holds the record of 132 caps for Denmark Women’s National football team. She notably helped them to a second place and silver medals at the 2017 UEFA Women’s Euro staged in the Netherlands.

Ajara wins cup

Nchout Njoya Ajara scored in the extra time to help Vålerenga defeat LSK Kvinner 2-0 to lift their maiden Norway Cup and to complete the ‘double’

Vålerenga who won the domestic championship last weekend completed an unprecedented double this season. The indomitable lioness was a key player in the historic achievement for the Oslo outfit.

After 90 minutes of a scoreless game, Ajara broke the deadlock in the 102nd minute. Her team ended up beating the defending title-holders LSK Kvinner 2-0 to secure their first-ever Norwegian Cup trophy (NM).

It has been a remarkably successful season for the Cameroon top striker who earned not only 2 gold medals but also an individual trophy. Ajara grabbed the 2020 Toppserien Golden Boot Award with 10 goals. She scored 14 goals in all competitions this season for Vålerenga.

The 31-year-old Swedish defender Emma Berglund has joined FC Rosengård

The international centre-back joined the Damallsvenskan’s runners-up from Göteborg with whom she spent two successful seasons, crowned with the 2020 Damallsvenskan championship trophy. Emma captained the team and played 17 games to contribute to their first historic title.

Emma left FC Rosengård four years ago with a Damallsvenskan title won in 2015 in her maiden season with the club. She spent two seasons with a French outfit, Paris Saint-Germain with whom she won the 2017/2018 French Cup and became French Division 1 runner-up twice, then moved back home to play with Göteborg.

Emma has already earned 54 caps and netted one goal for the Women’s National Team of her country. She represented Sweden in many high-level international competitions such as the 2017 UEFA Women’s EURO in the Netherlands, and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games where Sweden won Silver Medals.
