Leandra renews with LTA

28 Jan 2021

We are pleased to announce that Famalicío midfielder Leandra Smeda has signed a new representation agreement with us

South African international Leandra Smeda who has already made her full competitive debut in Portugal earlier this month, has extended her contract with our agency. She has signed a one-year deal with the Portuguese Liga BPI ambitious newcomers FC Famalicío in November.

We have been representing Leandra for three years now as we helped her with the maiden professional contract at the perennial Lithuanian champions, Gintra-Universitetas in 2018. Later, in 2019 she joined Vittsjö and made history with the Sweden’s top division club after helping them for the first time in their existence, to finish the season in third place to earn bronze medals.

The veteran midfielder is a regular for the senior women’s national team of her country – Banyana Banyana with over 100 caps to her name. She has featured for South Africa in several top international competitions, including the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, and multiple CAF Women African Cup of Nations finals.

LTA Agency are delighted to continue cooperation with Leandra Smeda and wish her good luck at her new club.
