International striker Laura Rus has inked a contract with FCV Farul Constanța in Romania’s Liga 1
Romanian veteran striker Laura has joined home side Farul Constanța, a club newly promoted to Romania’s top division.
Laura comes from Lokomotiv Stara Zagora in the Bulgarian top-flight; she helped the club win its second consecutive league trophy this season.
In her career, the 35-year-old attacker has already played for more than 10 clubs in nine different countries. She has also won many titles, among which we can list some of the most recent, such as the 2021/2022 Italian Serie D, the Belgian Women’s Super League 2019/20, and the BeNeCup in 2020. She was named Romania’s best striker in 2019–20.
Laura is a bright striker who has an incredible strike rate. She scored bags of goals for clubs she’s played for, such as Suwon FC with whom she was WK-League Best Goalscorer in 2015; Apollon FC with whom she was UEFA Women’s Champions League Best Goalscorer; and the Cyprus League in 2012/13. In Romania, she was also the league’s best goal scorer in 2006/07 and at other clubs.
