Jane hits 150 international caps

Refiloe Jane has reached 150 caps for Banyana Banyana and marks the milestone with an assist
South Africa international and TS Galaxy Queens FC midfielder Refiloe Jane reached another landmark in her storied career as she played her 150th match under South Africa national team colours yesterday.
The captain achieved this feat in Tuesday’s international friendly against Japan, leading her side to a resilient 1-0 victory. She provided an assist in this second friendly game played at the J-Green Sakai Main Field in Osaka.
Banyana Banyana captain Refiloe Jane became only the fourth player in South African women’s football history to reach the 150-appearance mark.
Her Banyana journey is filled with historic moments. She has made five consecutive appearances in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, including two at the Olympics and two at the FIFA World Cup. Jane captained the national team that won their first-ever Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2022 in Morocco and played at the 2023 Women’s FIFA World Cup, where they made history by reaching the round of 16. She also represented her country in its first appearance at the Olympic Games in London in 2012.
Jane is an inspiration to many across South Africa.
