Irene Paredes have won the 2021/22 Spanish Women's Super Cup with FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona have defeated Atletico Madrid in Super Cup final (7-0) at the sports city of Las Rozas on Sunday afternoon to clinch their second Super Cup trophy and secured their first title of the season.

The Spain international has earned her first trophy with the Spanish outfit that she joined in July 2021. It is her second trophy won in her country after a Primera División title won in 2015/16 season with Athletic Bilbao and also the fourth title that the defender has won in her club career.

Paredes played the first 75 min of the cup final match to help Barcelona leads a record of two Super Cup trophies ever won by a Spanish club in the history.

Barcelona are the Primera Division last season champion with the most titles and currently top of the league table. The champions will face Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League and The Spanish Cup is still available for them to fight for.
