The 31-year-old Swedish defender Emma Berglund has joined FC Rosengård
The international centre-back joined the Damallsvenskan’s runners-up from Göteborg with whom she spent two successful seasons, crowned with the 2020 Damallsvenskan championship trophy. Emma captained the team and played 17 games to contribute to their first historic title.
Emma left FC Rosengård four years ago with a Damallsvenskan title won in 2015 in her maiden season with the club. She spent two seasons with a French outfit, Paris Saint-Germain with whom she won the 2017/2018 French Cup and became French Division 1 runner-up twice, then moved back home to play with Göteborg.
Emma has already earned 54 caps and netted one goal for the Women’s National Team of her country. She represented Sweden in many high-level international competitions such as the 2017 UEFA Women’s EURO in the Netherlands, and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games where Sweden won Silver Medals.
LTA Agency congratulate Emma and wish her best of luck at her new/old club.
