Bruun signs with Lyon

22 Jun 2021

Denmark striker Signe Bruun has sealed a two-year deal with Olympique Lyonnais of French Division 1

Bruun, who has helped Paris Saint-Germain this season to lift their first-ever League title has decided to follow her French adventure with another powerhouse: Olympique Lyonnais.

The new striker of Olympique Lyonnais has a good knowledge of French football as she is coming from Paris Saint-Germain where she spent three good seasons crowned by the Division 1 Féminine 2020-21 title.

Bruun scored 10 goals in 31 league appearances in her spell at Paris Saint-Germain. During her time with the new champions, she helped the club to reach the UEFA Champions League semis 2020-21 and French Cup final in 2020.

Prior to her french experience, the 23-year-old played with Fortuna Hjørring (2014/2018) where she twice won the Danish championship, in 2016 and 2018, as well as the Danish Cup in 2016.

Internationally, the young striker has already found the net three times in 13 appearances for Denmark senior Women’s National Team. She also played with Denmark Under 16 to Under 23 formations.

Before being dethroned, Lyon has dominated women’s football in France for 14 years in a row.

LTA Agency wish Signe Bruun a lot of success at Lyon and good luck for the next season in France.
