Banusic joins Parma
Sweden international striker Marija Banusic has signed a contract with Serie A side Parma Calcio until 2024
Marija joined Parma who earned promotion to Italy’s top flight last season. She has been playing in Serie A since the 2020-21 season with AS Roma with whom she won the Italian Cup in her first season. Then, she joined Pomigliano, where she scored seven times in 21 Serie A appearances last season to help the newcomer stay in the Italian top flight.
Former player of Montpellier in France, Beijing BG Phoenix FC in China, and Chelsea in England, Marija started her bright career in her country. She won the Damallsvenskan in 2017 and finished as runner-up three times in the Swedish Cup. She also won the league and cup while playing in England.
The talented forward has already amassed seven caps with Sweden’s senior women’s national team.
