Barbra Banda and Ami Diallo are among the 2025 CAF awards nominations list.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the official shortlist for the women’s categories on Friday. Two young players represented by LTA Agency figures in the following categories:  African Player of the Year – Zambia Captain Barbra Banda, and the Interclub Player of the Year – Ivorian striker Ami Diallo. All the nominees earned recognition for their standout performances over the past year.

Banda is the current holder of the CAF Women’s Player of the Year title. She is once again vying for the coveted African Player of the Year title and is among Africa’s most reliable players. striker for the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Banda is currently the fifth-best player in the league with eight goals despite being injured in August. Earlier this year, at the WAFCON, she scored three goals for Chipolopolo. It is Banda’s second nomination following her first last year which ended in triumph.

Ami Diallo, striker of Asec Mimosas club (Ivory Coast), is one of the best goal scorers in the league. She helped the club qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League for the very first time, after a dramatic victory in the WAFU B Qualifiers 2025 final against Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens. Picked up Woman of the Match honors in two of Cote d’Ivoire’s games. She is called up for the 2026 WAFCON qualifiers.
