Vero clinches the Italian Serie B title
Verónica Boquete and Como 1907 have been crowned 2025/26 Serie B champions and earned promotion to Serie A Women
Vero has added an Italian title to her glittering career. As Como 1907 captain, she played an outstanding role in securing the club’s first-ever promotion to Serie A Women.
In addition to her goals and assists during the just-ended campaign, the fully experienced player, who competed at the highest level for nearly two decades, was a valuable asset to her teammates, whom she led to a historic title through her collective ambition. She serves as a truly monumental inspiration to her fellow players, both as a teammate and a trailblazer.
Como 1907 will therefore compete next season in the top Italian division, Serie A Women. Vero has extensive experience at this level, having played for teams such as Fiorentina and AC Milan.
They closed the campaign with a 4-1 win over Vicenza at home, having largely dominated the Italian second division with only one defeat in 26 games. Last season, they were runner-up.
