ASEC Mimosas’ debutant qualified for the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League with a convincing win on Saturday. The Ivorian side showcased their dominance in a resounding 4-0 triumph over Botswana’s Gaborone United.

A brace by in-form striker Ami Diallo helped the Ivorian side to a victory that helped ASEC Mimosas to win their last match of the Group A tie of the tournament.

Ami Diallo played in every group stage match of the club as they advanced as Group B top finishers on seven points from three matches.

In their maiden CAF, ASEC became the first Ivorian club to reach the Women’s Champions League semi-finals.

Masar’s Mahira Ali and Violeth Nicholaus secure a semi-finals spot with a hard-fought draw against USFAS Bamako.

Hosts Masar secured a crucial 1-1 draw against Malian USFAS Bamako to advance to the semi-finals, finishing second in the group.

Mahira Ali’s assist helped her teammate level the score and secured a vital point for the Egyptians.

The draw placed Masar in the second position with 5 points in Group A and has earned them qualification to the semi-finals.

Aicha Samake’s USFAS Bamako finished third, narrowly missing out on a semi-final berth despite a spirited debut campaign.

Mahira played all three games, while Violeth featured in two group stage matches.

On Tuesday, November 18, our players will face off in the second semifinal match. Asec Mimosas against FC Masar.

The Ivorian giants are making their first-ever appearance at this stage; meanwhile, the Egyptian team are now in their second straight semi-final after finishing third in the previous edition.
