Banda wins NWSL Shield
Barbra Banda has clinched the 2024 NWSL Regular Season Shield with Orlando Pride
After defeating the Washington Spirit 2–0 on Sunday. Orlando claimed the league’s annual award and playoff spot for the first time. With three games left to play, the club is remaining unbeaten through 23 games.
With her 13 goals netted including three braces from 20 appearances, Banda has contributed a lot to Orlando’s triumph. She is currently second in the NWSL goal scorers’ charts she is one of the key player who help to achieve this historic victory. She was selected the Player of the Month for May.
With the No. 1 seed, Orlando has earned home field advantage for the opening round of the 2024 NWSL Playoffs and will meet the No. 8 seed in the quarterfinals.
