Hedvig into Olympics Final

03 Aug 2021

Sweden goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl reached Olympics final for the second consecutive time by beating Australia 1-0

Since her debut to the Olympics games in 2004 with Sweden, the country has reached quarter-finals twice (2008,2012), the fourth place in 2004 and in the last edition at Rio de Janeiro in 2016, they won a silver medal after a 2-1 defeat against Germany in Final.

Hedvig has played a key role in all these recent Olympics achievements. This year in Tokyo, the Swedes have not yet lost any of their five games and Hedvig has played four of them registering two clean sheets: 3-0 against the United States and 1-0 against Australia.

To tempt to win their first-ever gold medal, Sweden will face Canada in the final of Tokyo 2020 Olympics Women on Friday 6th at Japan National Stadium.

LTA Agency wish good luck to Hedvig and Sweden for the final.
