Cameroon who were in Group B, have qualified to the WAFCON after a win over Tunisia (2-0) and draws against Zambia (0-0) and Togo (1-1). Ajara, Aboudi, and Ngo Mbeleck played all the group stage games and were phenomenal. In their victory match, Ajara scored one goal and assisted on another. She was elected woman of the match against Tunisia. Aboudi made an assist against Togo, and Ngo Mbeleck’s accurate passes during the games were just great.

South Africa was in Group C in which they finished in the first spot after beating all their opponents to advance to the quarters. Midfielder Refiloe featured in two games, playing 90 minutes of each against Nigeria (2-1) and Burundi (3-1). She bagged the woman of the match award against Burundi

Ajara and Refiloe made the Total Energies WAFCON 2022 Group stage’s Best XI!

On Thursday, July 14th Cameroon will face Nigeria in the first match, then South Africa will battle with Tunisia for a place in the semi-final and automatic qualification for next year’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
