Sembrant signs with Juventus

The new World Cup Bronze medalist, Linda Sembrant has signed a contract with Italy’s champion Juventus where she will join Danish international midfielder Sofie Junge also represented by LTA Agency.

The 32-years-old Swedish center-back comes from Montpellier FC in Division 1 Feminine whom she joined in 2014. It will be the third county in her career after the Damallsvenskan where she played with AIK, Gothenburg, and Tyresö in her country.

During her period in France, Linda scored nine goals in 100 leagues games played for Montpellier club for whom she has been the captain. She has been runner-up of the 2013/14 UEFA Women’s Champions League and the 2016/17 Division 1 Feminine. She also reached the Cup Final in France two times in 2015/16 and 2014/15 season.

Linda reached 117 caps for Sweden after playing the recent World Cup where Sweden finished in third position. She also won two championship medals previously, the World Cup Bronze Medal 2011 and Olympic Silver Medal 2016.

Defender Linda Sembrant and Goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl have ended the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with Bronze Medals on the podium.

Sweden defeated England 2-1 at the Stade de Nice on Saturday, to secure the third place in the tournament. It’s Sweden’s third bronze medal, adding to the bronze medals they collected in 1991 and 2011; they also finished as the runner-up in 2003.
Linda and Hedvig have been outstanding and very helpful for their Women’s National Team during this World Cup edition. Both heroïnes played all minutes of each of the seven matches, Sweden has only lost two games against the United States in the group stage and against the Netherlands in the semi-finals.

Central defender Sembrant (32) made her third Women’s World Cup appearance and earned her second third-place finish at the World Cup after 2011. She scored one goal and provided one assist. She reached 117 caps and 9 goals scored for the National Team.

The legendary goalkeeper Hedvig (36) is the most ever capped Swedish male or female goalkeeper. She has reached 165 caps by playing the third place game. She made several key saves to prevent goals and help her team to accomplish this feat. It is Hedvig’s third World Cup medal, having already won one Silver and one Bronze.

A wonderful finish at the FIFA Women’s World Cup for Caroline Seger who earned her 200th cap and a Bronze Medal.

Sweden’s captain since 2009, Seger has also scored 27 goals for women’s national team. By playing in the match of the third place in which Sweden has defeated England 2-1 yesterday, the 34-year-old midfielder made her 200th appearance for her country and thus won another bronze medal of her career. Seger is an experienced midfielder with a strong personality and leadership qualities. A veteran of three Olympic games, four Women’s Euros and three Women’s World Cups.

Her milestone was celebrated with the great historic win of Sweden’s Bronze Medal at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Sweden is through to 2019 Women’s World Cup semis after a 2-1 historic win over Germany.

Two Swedes represented by LTA Agency, veterans and key players to the team, goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl and defender Linda Sembrant won a historic quarter-final. Both smart players helped their nation to win against Germany after 24 years without any win against Germans in a competitive game. Sweden came from behind to knock out Germany 2-1 and reach World Cup semi-final. Linda provided an assist on the first goal. With that win, Sweden earned a spot at next year’s Olympics in Tokyo.
Sweden will now prepare for their first Women’s World Cup semi-final since 2011, where they will face the Netherlands in Lyon on 3 July.

Seven of players represented by LTA agency in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup have reached quarter-finals with Norway and Sweden.

Norway defeated Australia 4-1 on penalties to reach the FIFA Women’s World Cup’s last-eight for the first time since 2007 following a tough 1-1 draw after extra time. Lisa Utland, Stine HOVLAND, Cecilie Redisch KVAMME, Therese Sessy ÅSLAND, and Emilie NAUTNES are all part of this achievement. For their next adventure in the course to the trophy, the Grasshoppers will meet England’s Lionesses on Thursday at the Stade Océane in Le Havre (4.30pm).

Hedvig Lindahl’s smart saves sent Canada home and Sweden into quarters. She also bagged the Player of the Match award for her performance in the 1-0 win against Canada as she has bravely stopped a penalty shot. It’s Hedvig’s second clean sheet in four matches already played in this World Cup. Linda Sembrant is irreplaceable in the Swedish defense since the start of the competition, she has featured in all matches assuring the defense for 90 minutes in each game. Sweden will take on Germany in Roazhon Park in Rennes on Saturday, 29 June.

Cameroon is the first African nation to reach back-to-back in a FIFA World Cup knockouts. To progress to that level of the competition for a second time, they defeated New Zealand 2-1 thank to a second fantastic last-minute goal of the brave striker Ajara NCHOUT NJOYA, who secured her squad’s qualification. Aboudi ONGUENE who captained the game made awesome assist for Ajara’s second goal. Augustine EJANGUE, Raissa FEUDJIO and Genevieve NGO MBELECK played full time while Gaelle ENGANAMOUIT played 54 minutes.

Ngozi EBERE’s Nigeria beat the Korea Republic to advance to the last 16 for the first time in 20 years. The Super Falcon defender, Ebere featured in all matches in the group phase.

Australians Aivi LUIK and Mary FOWLER won two games and Luik made her World Cup debut in the Matildas’ 4-1 win over Jamaica.

Norway was in Group A alongside France, Nigeria and Korea Republic. They beat Nigeria (3-0) and Korea Republic (2-1) Lisa-Marie UTLAND scored a goal and played in the three games. Stine HOVLAND, Cecilie Redisch KVAMME, Therese Sessy ÅSLAND, and Emilie NAUTNES featured in the squad list.

Spain qualified with four points. They won the match against South Africa (3-1) and drew against China PR (0-0). Irene PAREDES had an important role in the defense as she played 90 minutes of each match, Virginia TORRECILLA provided an assist, Amanda SAMPEDRO, and Nahikari GARCIA also featured in the matches.

Sweden finished runner-up of Group F, with two victories, one against Chile (2-0) and another one against Thailand (5-1). With one clean sheet in three matches, the Sweden first-choice goalkeeper, Hedvig LINDAHL played all the matches with her compatriot defender, Linda SEMBRANT who didn’t only secure defense but also helped to the qualification as she opened the score against Thailand.

The Super Falcons’ player represented by LTA Agency, Ngozi Ebere is among the final 23 Nigerian women players who will Represent their nation to the Women World Cup in France next June.

Arna-Bjørnar’s Nigeria international defender, Ngozi Ebere has already represented her country at many competitions of high level. She has scored once in 24 appearances at senior level and represented Nigeria at the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup in Canada.

Nigeria is in Group A alongside France, Korea Republic, and Norway. They will play their opening game against Norway on June 8.

Danish international midfielder Sofie Junge Pedersen has re-signed Juventus of Italy ‘s serie A until 2021.

Sofie signed a six months deal with Juventus when she moved from Vittsjö in Sweden in 2018. Since then, the 27-year-old midfielder has scored three goals in seven appearances for the Bianconeri. Sofie had an outstanding first season in Italy. She helped the club to win Italian league and cup doubles. She is the author of one of the most iconic goal of the whole season : the one that allowed Juventus to beat Fiorentina in the historic match of Allianz Stadium, last March.
Sofie’s previous deal with Serie A club had been due to expire in June 2019. It’s the fourth country where she played football after Sweden, Spain, and Denmark. She has won titles in Sweden, Denmark, and eventually in Italy. With four goals, Sofie has already earned 55 caps with Denmark women’s national team.

La coupe UFOA (Union des Fédérations Ouest-Africaines) B des Dames s’est déroulée à Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire ) du 8 au 18 mai. Sept pays étaient au rendez-vous pour disputer la couronne sous régionale: Le Mali, le Togo, le Nigeria, le Sénégal, le Burkina-Faso, le Niger et le Ghana en plus de la Côte d’Ivoire.

La capitaine Fatou et ses coéquipières ont eu un excellent parcours qui s’est achevé à la finale. Elles n’ont enregistré aucune défaite jusqu’à la finale ou elles perdent face au Nigeria (5-4 Tab ; 1-1). Ange Koko est l’auteur du merveilleux but ivoirien du temp reglementaire.

Pensionnaire de UDG Tenerifie en Espagne, Ange Koko est designée meilleure joueuse du tournoie. L’attaquante de 28 ans a aussi été élue Dame de match après le match inaugural du tournoi, Côte d’Ivoire / Togo (5-0)
