Asantewaa joins Real Betis

The 20-year-old Ghana international midfielder Grace Asantewaa has inked a two-year contract with Spanish topflight side Real Betis Féminas

Young Ghanaian midfielder who will play the next two seasons for the green-and-white side of Sevilla, comes from a first Primera Iberdrola’s experience with EDF Logroño whom she joined two years ago from Ampem Darkoa Ladies in her country.

During her time with EDF Logroño, she featured in 45 league matches and scored four goals. She helped the club to their historic first qualification to the Spanish Cup final in 2019/20 season.

Ghana women’s international player, Asantewaa has already earned 10 caps and scored 2 goals for Ghana’s Senior Women’s National Team.

Spain international defender Irene Paredes has joined Liga Iberdrola champions FC Barcelona for two seasons

The 30-year-old centre back has joined Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona having left Paris Saint-Germain after a historic season in which she helped them to their maiden Division 1 Féminine trophy. Paredes has enjoyed a successful five-year stint with PSG, winning a Cup title in addition to the first-ever league title. She was also three-time Ligue runner-up (2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20). PSG captain, she scored 13 goals and played more than 100 games for the club during her stay in the French capital.

Prior to her French experience, she played with Athletic Bilbao with whom she won her first league title in 2016.

Spain national team captain, Paredes has made 80 international appearances for her country scoring nine goals. Considered one of the best defenders in the world, Irene is a powerful player who is especially good in the air.

Sevilla FC midfielder Aivi Luik has been selected in Australian squad for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo from 21 July to 6 August 2021

Australia, next co-host of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, are in the same group as Sweden, USA, Australia, New Zealand and make their debut on 21 Jully against New Zealand at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Aivi features in the 18- women squad that will defend Australia colours in Tokyo. The 36-year-old experienced midfielder who featured in the last FIFA Women’s World Cup in France has already amassed 30 caps with the Matildas. It will be her first participation in the Olympics games.

Goalkeeper Andreea Părăluță claimed Liga Iberdrola 3rd spot and qualified for UEFA Women’s Champions League next season with Levante UD

The Romanian international played seven league matches this season to help her side to finish on the podium. Andreea has been named player of the match in their recent 1-1 draw game against Sevilla on 20th June. Levante suffered an unfortunate defeat (0-1) against Atletico de Madrid on the final day of the 2020/21 Liga Iberdrola season last Sunday.

It is the third consecutive season that the Valencia-based club reached 3rd place in the league table. Levante also reached Spanish Supercopa Femenina and Copa de la Reina 2020/2021 finals.

Andreea joined Levante in the 2018-19 season, and she was the club’s first-choice goalkeeper before her elbow surgery in May 2020. She played 25 matches in the first season in the club.

The 26-year-old player is a key member of Romania national team. She has represented her country in several international competitions and has earned more than 40 caps.

Denmark striker Signe Bruun has sealed a two-year deal with Olympique Lyonnais of French Division 1

Bruun, who has helped Paris Saint-Germain this season to lift their first-ever League title has decided to follow her French adventure with another powerhouse: Olympique Lyonnais.

The new striker of Olympique Lyonnais has a good knowledge of French football as she is coming from Paris Saint-Germain where she spent three good seasons crowned by the Division 1 Féminine 2020–21 title.

Bruun scored 10 goals in 31 league appearances in her spell at Paris Saint-Germain. During her time with the new champions, she helped the club to reach the UEFA Champions League semis 2020-21 and French Cup final in 2020.

Prior to her french experience, the 23-year-old played with Fortuna Hjørring (2014/2018) where she twice won the Danish championship, in 2016 and 2018, as well as the Danish Cup in 2016.

Internationally, the young striker has already found the net three times in 13 appearances for Denmark senior Women’s National Team. She also played with Denmark Under 16 to Under 23 formations.

Before being dethroned, Lyon has dominated women’s football in France for 14 years in a row.

Aïssata Traoré et ses coéquipières se sont imposées face à Bordeaux 4 buts à 2 le vendredi 4 juin, pour terminer la saison de la meilleure des manières. Guingamp prend la cinquième place du classement du championnat de France féminin. La milieu de terrain malienne Aissata a joué 16 matchs durant cette saison pour aider son club a réaliser ce progrès. la saison précédente, le club était à la 6ème place avant l’arrêt du championnat à cause du COVID. C’est sont meilleur classement en D1 déjà atteint en 2014-2015 et en 2013-2014.

With her brilliant performance in the final match of the season against Dijon FCO, Paris Saint-Germain captain Irene Paredes and her teammate Signe Bruun helped the club clinch their maiden championship title

PSG comfortably beat Dijon 3-0 at home to be crowned Division 1 Feminine champion for the first time in the club’s history thus ending Olympique Lyonnais 14 years of reign.

The Spain defender Irene played the full game against Dijon and scored the second goal. She featured in all 22 league games this season scoring six goals. Irene joined the club in 2016. it is her second League title after winning the first in her native Spain with Athletic Club Bilbao.

Danish striker Signe played 18 matches and scored seven goals this season. She joined the club in 2018. Prior to PSG, she won two League titles in her native Denmark with Fortuna Hjørring FC.

Before the game, PSG were one point ahead of Lyon. Only a victory was going to guarantee them the title. PSG went undefeated and remained consistent throughout the season. They beat Lyon 1-0 in November and then crucially held them to a 0-0 draw last Sunday.

PSG had finished second on eight occasions since 2001 that they are playing in the top-level Division 1.

Ngo Mbeleck Genevieve had an exceptional 2020-21 season in Israel with Maccabi Kiryat Gat FC as she has been named the best player of the season for 2020-21 in addition to trophies won

After winning the Ligat AI women, the State Cup and Athena Cup, Ngo Mbeleck has added to her achievements the award of the Israel best women player of the season 2020-21.

An unforgettable season for the Cameroon international midfielder who won all in one season in Israel. Ngo Mbeleck determination and hard work have earned her the title of the best player. She won the award from a four-women shortlist.

The 27-year-old playmaker played a key role in Maccabi Kiryat Gat won treble this season. Ngo Mbeleck scored 16 goals in just 26 games League and Cup to help Israel new Champion to achieve the treble. She finished as the second top scorer in the league and the first in her club.

Swedish international striker Marija Banušić has won the 2020-2021 Italian cup with AS Roma

Marija’s club secured their first-ever trophy yesterday since they entered Serie A Femminile three years ago. It is also Marija’s first trophy in Italy.

AS Roma lifted the Italian Cup for the first time after beating AC Milan 3-1 in a penalty shootout, after a scoreless 120 Minutes of the game in a regular time at the Mapei Stadium.

Marija came in as a substitute at the 103rd minutes of the final. She featured in two cup matches.

L’internationale camerounaise Ngo Mbeleck Geneviève s’est offerte un triplé cette saison avec le FC Kyriat-Gat: Championne d’Israël, vainqueur de la Coupe Athena et de la Coupe d’Israël; ainsi que meilleur buteuse du club

Une saison parfaite pour la milieu de terrain des lionnes indomptables qui a remporté la coupe d’Israël jeudi le 27, le championnat dimanche dernier et la coupe Athena en Avril.

Ngo Mbeleck s’est particulièrement distinguée cette saison. Elle est la meilleure buteuse de son club avec 11 buts ce qui lui a aussi permis d’être classée deuxième buteuse du championnat. Elle est aussi parmi les nominées pour le titre de la meilleure joueuse de la saison dont les résultats seront connus lundi 31 mai.

Ngo Mbeleck a joué tout le match de la finale de la Coupe contre Maccabi Emek Hefer (2-1). Elle a marqué les deux buts de la rencontre qui ont permis de couronner FC Kyriat-Gat vainqueur de la Coupe d’Israël jeudi soir. Elle a marqué six buts au total.

Un mois plus tôt, elle avait aidé son club à remporter son premier trophée de la saison: la Coupe Athena. Contre le Ramat Hascharam,  le  FC Kyriat-Gat avait gagné la finale avec un score de 1-0 toujours grâce au but de Ngo Mbeleck.
