Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene, 30, Cameroon National Team & CSKA Moscow forward has renewed her contract with the Russian club for another two seasons.

Gabrielle has had an exceptional 2019: together with her CSKA teammates she won the Russian League for the first time in the club’s history, and she also helped her national team to reach the final round of the qualifiers for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Women’s Football Tournament.

Gabrielle arrived in Russia in 2015 and won her first championship with Rossiyanka in 2016; a year later, she lifted the 2017 Russian Cup with her current club. The Cameroonian Lioness has proved to be one the leading attacking players of the Russian league in the last few years.

Her talent, professionalism and commitment have always been valuable for the Cameroon National Team and the clubs that she played for.

Current Cameroon captain, Gabrielle is nominated for the 2019 CAF African Women’s Player of the Year Award along with her Cameroon teammate Ajara Nchout Njoya. It is her third time to be nominated by CAF. During the 2016 and 2017 editions of CAF Awards she was voted second best African female footballer.
