LTA SIGN BULGARIAN FITNESS COACH KALOYAN PETKOV

LTA Agency is delighted to announce the signing of one of the leading strength and conditioning coaches in the world of women’s soccer, former Bulgaria National Cross Country Champion, Kaloyan Petkov.


After finishing his career as an International level track & field and cross country runner, Petkov had a brief spell as a track & field coach in South Africa. Upon returning to his home country, he coached top Bulgarian athletics club – SC Levski Sofia where he prepared a number of leading female athletes for success at the National, European, and World Athletics competitions.

In 2005, Petkov joined a leading US women’s soccer club, FC Indiana, where he was responsible for all aspects of the team’s physical preparation. Thanks in no small part to his efforts, FC Indiana players were in great condition to win the historic League and Cup “Double” in 2005 and then repeat as the US National Champions in 2007 and win another US Open Cup in 2008.

Petkov was also in charge of the strength and conditioning training for the Ireland Women’s National Team during their FIFA World Cup Germany 2011 preparation camp conducted in the summer of 2009 in the USA.
